Job Summary

Somerset Community College is accepting applications for an Instructor- ADX (Diesel and Automotive) position.

Job Duties:

This position be instructing students from both Diesel and Automotive Technology, supervise students in the laboratory, and perform other program duties as assigned.

Other duties include academic advising, internal service (committees, attendance and participation at meetings), educational leadership, professional development, and external service in the community.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate Degree in a related field and recent work experience in Diesel and/or Automotive Technology field(s). Must have or acquire ASE certifications for Medium Heavy Truck(T6 and T7) and/or Automotive(A6 and A7); electrical and climate control, within first semester of teaching. Must become Master Medium/Heavy Truck or Automotive certified within the first year of teaching. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate Degree in a related field and 4 years work experience in Diesel and/or Automotive field(s). ASE Master Medium and Heavy Truck or Master Automotive certified.
