Job Summary

Bluegrass Community and Technical College is hiring a full-time instructor primarily for the Georgetown campus with flexibility of scheduling. Instruction would be in any of the following areas relative to the Integrated Engineering Technology Curriculum: Electrical Theory and Concepts, Electric Motor Controls, Programmable Logic Controllers, Hydraulics and Pneumatics, Maintaining Industrial Equipment, Robotics. Applicants should possess excellent computer, communication, and presentation skills to develop and deliver on-site and online program-related material along with in-person laboratory experiences.

Job Duties:

  • Provide instruction in the areas of Integrated Engineering Technology.

  • Ensure that appropriate safety policies and procedures are implemented in the lab areas.

  • Maintain program equipment and lab areas.

  • Collaborate with business and industry to maintain an awareness of current technologies, trends, and issues.

  • Provide academic advising and career-related counseling for students.

  • Engage in recruitment and retention activities through programming at secondary schools, community partners, and professional organizations.

  • Participate in faculty professional development and training activities to improve teaching expertise and technical expertise in the area taught.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering related field 

    OR 

  • Associate degree or higher in any field AND 2 years related work experience relevant to the program 

    OR 

  • Faculty could have a minimum of 5 years’ work experience in the field and demonstrate competencies in the teaching field   

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering related field and 3 years related work experience.

    OR 

  • Associate degree or higher in any field AND 5 years related work experience relevant to fluid power, industrial equipment, or welding.
