Completion of an accredited classroom training program for medical interpreting requiring at least
40 hours of credit. Establishment of Language Proficiency in English and the target language.
Physical Requirements
This job requires some standing, walking, and sitting for long periods of time.
Shift
Monday – Friday; 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Job Summary
This position will provide patient registration, scheduling, financial counseling, and translation services to the DMD Dental Clinic and coordinate cross clinic coverage. The successful candidate will, on occasion, provide fill-in and backup coverage for patient services coordinator positions at various levels at other UK Dental Clinics both on and off campus. The person in this position may also be called on to provide translation services to other UK Dental Clinics both on and off campus.
As this position will provide translation services, fluency in written and verbal communication in both English and Spanish are required.
