Position Information

Hiring Department: New Student Orientation

Posting End Date: Open until filled. This posting may close once a sufficient number of qualified applications have been received.

Hours: 40 hours per week, standard Monday- Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm. Flexibility required on evenings and weekends.

FLSA status: Exempt

Earliest Start Date: As soon as possible.

Salary: $40,480 Annually.

This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code §51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information. A valid driver's license issued by the State where the applicant resides, and insurability as defined in UTS 157 may be required to perform the position's essential functions.



Purpose of Position

Under limited supervision, assists the Director with planning, developing and implementing a holistic Campus Visit Program. Efforts will focus on prospective students and families, in addition to group visits. Using the Constituent Relationship Managements System (CRM), will be responsible for developing, maintaining and updating communication plans and reports. Collaborate with the Office of Admissions and Recruitment and key campus partners to ensure a strategic process within the enrollment pathway and that the experience is positive.

Essential Functions

Manage Campus Visits Program:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive visit program that aligns with the goals outlined in the Enrollment Strategic Plan.
  • Collaborate and regularly communicate with the Office of Admissions and Recruitment to facilitate the Campus Visit Program for prospective students and groups.
  • Collaborate with academic and key campus partners to ensure that program highlights and information is accurate and up to date.
  • Review, update, and maintain print material issued during visits, tour guide script, and presentations to ensure that the context and verbiage align with recruitment message.
  • Assist with exploration of innovative, web-based applications to support future virtual options.
  • Develop, review, and assesses the program goals and outcomes.
  • Ensure surveys are issued, collected and data inputted into web-based assessment tool.

Administrate Communication via Constituent Relationship Management (CRM):
  • Develop and manage communication plans for the Campus Visit Program.
  • Manage visits as events to track attendance and registration.
  • Develop adequate CRM knowledge base to maintain effective communication and make recommendations for improvement to enhance visit experience and customer service.

Support Orientation Program Coordination:
  • Assist and support leadership team with implementation and evaluation of all Orientation Programs.
  • Prepare and execute email, text, and call campaign efforts to support Enrollment goals.

Knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and able to learn and use institutional software systems.

Complies with all State and University policies.

Other duties may be assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's objectives, policies and applicable laws.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree

and

Experience: Two (2) years of experience, related to the statement of duties & responsibilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual (English-Spanish); Some supervisory experience. Experience working with students in an academic setting. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Ability to develop, plan and implement programs and initiatives. Ability to work independently. Team building, problem solving, and organizational skills.
