Job Summary
The Department of Writing, Rhetoric, & Digital Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky invites applications for three full-time Lecturer position to begin August 1, 2025. The selected candidates will be appointed to a 9-month, non-tenure eligible faculty position for an initial two-year period that has the potential for renewal and for promotion to Senior Lecturer after five years.The successful candidates will have comparable pedagogical expertise and experience teaching face-to-face and online sections of WRD 204: Technical Writing as well as possibly WRD 304: Writing in the Social Sciences and WRD 310: Writing in the Natural Sciences. In addition, the successful candidates will have extensive experience teaching courses similar to our first-year sequence, including WRD 110, WRD 111, or WRD 112. The teaching load is four courses a semester and the position will involve departmental service.
The Department of Writing, Rhetoric, and Digital Studies (WRD) offers a BA/BS in Writing, Rhetoric, and Digital Studies, a minor in Professional and Technical Writing, and an online graduate certificate in Professional and Technical Writing. An M.A. or Ph.D. in English or Writing Studies/Rhetoric and Composition is required.
