Henderson Community College serves credit, dual credit, adult education, and workforce development students in a three-county region of Northwest Kentucky. The college also serves several counties in Southwest Indiana by offering in-state tuition. Henderson is one of 16 colleges in the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS). Job Summary

The MAINTech program aims to fill the employment gap between the current skill level of the available workforce talent pool and the current talent needs of local manufacturers. This program will provide entry-level talent: 1) employability/soft skills training, 2) basic technical skills often required by industry for entry-level positions, 3) Industrial Maintenance Technology training to cultivate a pool of new multiskilled technicians, and 4) a minimum of 144 on-the-job training hours over 6 weeks. The MAINTech Liaison will serve as the LEAD liaison for student and employer recruitment and assist program participants with navigating the advanced manufacturing pathways and collaborating with the instructor(s).

Job Duties:

• Serves as the lead liaison for student and employer recruitment for MAINTech and assists program participants with navigating the advanced manufacturing pathways and collaborating with MAINTech instructor(s).
• Will organize and conduct community and industry outreach sessions promoting the need for multi-skilled technicians.
• Aides the Workforce Solutions department in the design, development, marketing, and delivery of business & industry training as it relates to MAINTech and related workforce development needs.
• Facilitates comprehensive support to students by operating in a case management/high touch “culture of care” service role focused on retention management, outreach, intervention, and employment success;
• Will maintain appropriate documentation and concise notes of participant and partner interactions, referrals, resources, and interventions relating to student and employer support and grant activity documentation.
• Assists with the preparation of grant progress reports.
• Other job duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education and experience should be sufficient for a management position.
• Occasional travel to HCC’s business & industry and community partners is required.
• Experience working with students or adults from diverse backgrounds including underprepared, low-income, and underrepresented populations.
• Excellent interpersonal, writing, and customer service skills.
• Ability to plan, organize, and implement events and day-to-day operations/duties.
• Demonstrates and facilitates team spirit in the department and community.  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of a manufacturing environment preferred.
