Title: Manager, Ready to Reconnect Program (Grant-funded)

POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager, Ready to Reconnect program at Nashville State Community College is dedicated to bridging the gap between education and employment by providing students/jobseekers pathways to jobs in Middle Tennessee.

The Manager is responsible for leading, designing and implementing the Ready to Reconnect program. This includes developing and coordinating workforce certification programs, recruiting, tracking and assisting students by providing holistic services from pre-enrollment through completion and post-completion follow-up. The Manage will work closely with community and institutional stakeholders to design work force certifications that meet the needs of students, employees and employers. This is a grant-funded position through June 30, 2026.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the strategic planning and development of the Ready to Reconnect program. Manage the project’s overarching goals and deliverables, anticipate potential challenges to ensure on-schedule fulfillment of tasks and projects, and monitor program effectiveness. Support equitable participation and achievement in high-quality pathways that lead to high-demand, high wage careers. Participate in recruitment events on and off campus, such as high school fairs, college fairs, campus tours, open houses and other community events. This includes attending evening and weekend events as needed. Provide strategic leadership and oversight for staff assigned to support these projects.

Supervise grant personnel, which may include both adjunct faculty and staff. Prepare interim and annual performance reports. Develop a comprehensive plan for assessing participant progress and program effectiveness. Oversee assigned grant and project budgets and resources to ensure compliance and strategic use of resources. Accurately monitor all expenditures over the course of the grant in coordination with the finance department and department lead. Prepare and submit all required materials and fiscal transactions, as well as program and fiscal reporting connected with the grant, to finance according to established deadlines. Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree

Two (2) years’ experience working in higher education, workforce development or related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree

Community college experience

Experience with career and/or college counseling with a wide range of populations, including adult, first generation and non-traditional student populations.

Prior leadership or management experience

Bilingual fluency in English and Arabic or Spanish

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to manage a caseload system of advising. Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to make recommendations and set goals. Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, along with the ability to organize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong initiative and ability to work effectively in groups and independently. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong background in customer service. Ability to work some nights and weekends.

Rate of Pay: $52,578 - $65,722 depending on experience
