The HBS Alumni Marketing and Communications team (AM&C) is seeking a Marketing Content Specialist for a 30-hour per week position. The Marketing Content Specialist will be responsible for creating high-quality email and website content that engages our audience and drives results.
Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and managing email campaigns, website content, and social copy that adheres to brand voice and style guides
  • Draft compelling print and email appeals to different alumni segments from different authors
  • Collaborating with clients to understand their needs and goals for marketing content
  • Ensure all content meets strict quality standards and maintains brand consistency across all marketing materials 
  • This role is responsible for other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required
  • 5+ years of related experience is required
  • Education beyond high school may count toward experience
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) experience is a must

Additional Qualifications and Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the proven ability to write in a direct and concise style 
  • Experience crafting compelling marketing copy for email and website channels
  • Fundraising and/or development communications experience preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Familiarity with brand style guides and content marketing best practices
  • Experience working in a client-facing role preferred
  • Able to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Teams and other collaboration tools

Additional Information

This is a hybrid position which we consider to be a combination of remote and onsite work at our Boston, MA based campus. HBS expects all staff to be onsite a minimum of 3 days per week and departments provide onsite coverage Monday – Friday. Specific hours and days onsite will be determined by business needs and are subject to change with appropriate advanced notice.
