Job Summary
The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment: Department of Dietetics and Human Nutrition is currently seeking a Marketing and Outreach Specialist to promote and coordinate activities for the Food as Health Alliance. The Alliance brings together departments, centers, colleges, and key stakeholders across the Commonwealth to bring together clinical and community research to address food insecurity and diet-related chronic disease. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining digital media for programs/projects, as well as planning and organizing educational programming and networking events.
Successful candidates will:

- possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- display the ability to prioritize
- have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- have the capacity to work independently and with flexibility
- have content knowledge of connecting nutrition, agriculture, and health

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management, and writing skills.
Proficiency with MS Windows as well as Mac operating systems.
Proficiency MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator

Excellent skills in website development, marketing, prioritizing resources, oral and written communication, confidentiality, attention to detail and technology application. Demonstrated creativity and ability to drive community engagement across various social media platforms .
Knowledge of diet-sensitive disease outcomes and nutritional interventions.
