Physical Requirements

The physical requirements of this position include: occasionally lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to 30lbs; occasionally transporting objects up to 20lbs; regularly sitting/standing at a computer workstation for extended periods of time with regular repetitive motions (such as typing); utilizing mouse, keyboard, and phone for portions of the day. Ability to travel to various locations on and off-campus for meetings.



Shift

Primarily days (i.e. Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm) Please be aware that as an exempt position, job duties may occasionally require additional time in the evenings, nights, holidays and/or weekends to accomplish work goals in excess of 40 hours per week.



Job Summary

UK Information Technology Services, Product Development and Integration-Enterprise Applications team is looking for a highly self-motivated and skilled full-stack developer with a passion for building scalable web applications and integration web services.

What you will be doing:
  •  In collaboration with Product Lead, design and develop web applications
  •  Design and develop supporting components and services for the backend tiers focusing on ERP integration, fault-tolerance and scalability in an enterprise environment
  •  Maintain and improve the functionality and performance of the existing web applications; refactor legacy codebase
  •  Help shape and execute the technical roadmap to develop next generation features

Networking knowledge and experience with monitoring tools and hooking in scripts

Preferred Education/Experience

Expertise in most of the following: Visual Studio, Source Control: TFS/Git/GitHub, WCF, Web API (MS ASP.Net), .Net Framework, Web Services, JSON, SOAP, REST; 5+ years of experience in Software Development using Object Oriented Programming using C#, Java; 5+ years of MS SQL and RDBMS; 3+ years of experience successfully developing applications using Microsoft technologies like WCF, ASP.NET, REST; 2+ years of experience in building REST services ASP.NET Web API; 3+ years of JQuery, JavaScript and XML; Passionate about leveraging technology to build products that “wow” users; Operations / SysAdmin experience (Windows, MS SQL, IIS); Strong knowledge of web architecture/design and web best practices; Demonstrated strong ability to interpret requirements and design solutions to fit those requirements. Five years of related experience preferred.
