Physical Requirements

Lifting & repositioning patients. pulling & pushing beds, stretchers, chairs, patient equipment. Some sitting for administrative computer work



Shift

Must be able to work three, 12-hour, 7PM-730AM NIGHT shifts, 36 HRS/ per week; will also be required to work some weekend and holidays.



Job Summary

Trauma DCN will assist with patient flow through the continuum of care by working with HOA & physician teams. Provide added leader oversight for the service line on all shifts 24/7. Assist with monitoring quality measures & assuring joint commission readiness for all shifts. This position will also provide assistance with staff mentoring & educational support while on shift. The Trauma DCN will also be the first line of contact for service line when nursing leadership is not readily available.



Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Well developed skills in critical care management. Understanding of patient flow through the continuum of care. Understanding of computer programs: EHRs, Windows office programs.

Preferred Education/Experience

KBN RN licensure. Critical Care nursing. Trauma/surgical critical care preferred. ACLS & TNCC will be required
