Job Summary

West Kentucky Community & Technical College (WKCTC), recognized as a top 10 community college in the nation by The Aspen Institute five consecutive times and three times as a Finalist with Distinction, invites applications for the position of Nursing Instructor. WKCTC is a comprehensive community college that provides excellence in teaching a learning, promotes student success, and supports economic development.

Experience in the area of medical surgical nursing, mental health, pediatric, or maternal newborn nursing and experience in the application of principles of teaching and learning. Must be committed to teaching excellence, able to adapt to student learning needs and perform as a member of a team.

Job Duties:

Teaching responsibilities include classroom, clinical and campus laboratory instruction in the areas of nursing care throughout the lifespan. Other responsibilities include team teaching and curriculum development, department and college committee assignments, student advising and community service and professional development activities

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of Bachelor in Science in nursing required with willingness to obtain Masters of Science in Nursing within four years. Must hold a current unencumbered license or privilege to practice as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and have a minimum of two (2) years full time or equivalent experience as a registered nurse within the immediate past five (5) years and have and maintain expertise in the clinical or functional area of responsibility. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Master of Science in Nursing preferred.
