Job Summary

The successful candidate will meet regularly with students and community partners to provide support and resources to students in the adult education program.

Job Duties:

Work in collaboration with partners to increase enrollment, retention, and transition efforts. Reports directly to the Director of Adult Education and is responsible for the following:

•The College and Career Navigator will serve as CCN in Warren County and will work with other CCNs in the service area regarding student career pathways, supporting student progression, and transition steps to post-secondary training or employment.
•Assists with student intake and orientation, assessment analysis, and goal setting.
•Identifies academic and non-academic barriers and develops mitigation strategies to improve student persistence and success.
•Connects students to wrap-around services from community partners for basic needs.
•Develop a written plan and checklist based on the student’s preferred career pathway.
•Attending community partner meetings and events.
•Understands performance data, goals, and challenges.
•Identifies at-risk students.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of related experience required. The ability and willingness to work in a high-paced environment. Planning and implementation skills. Proven collaboration with external partners. Able to work with students to transition them to work or post-secondary education. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Work experience in the Business, Adult Education, or Public Advocacy fields.
