Physical Requirements
The physical requirements of this position include: occasionally lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to 50lbs; sitting for extended periods of time with intermittent repetitive motions (such as typing), occasionally standing and/or walking with objects between 10-25lbs; occasional exposure to loud noises and/or extreme temperatures; and regular job-related travel.
Shift
Primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; as an exempt-level position, some nights and/or weekends may be required per departmental/business needs.
Job Summary
The Kentucky Regional Extension Center (Kentucky REC) is currently seeking a Quality Improvement Advisor to assist internal and external healthcare clinics in developing and implementing strategic plans for process improvement, practice innovation and/or quality improvement projects. This position will identify and target quality improvement opportunities; deliver educational presentations to large groups of multidisciplinary health care professionals; and use expertise on health information technology (HIT) projects and non-HIT projects to assist REC clients in implementing practice innovation projects and/or quality improvement projects. This position will also serve as a resource for routine and complex technical questions from clients regarding Clinical Quality Improvement, Practice Transformation, and/or Value Based Payment.
This is a remote/hybrid position. (Remote and some office time.)
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
The ideal candidate must demonstrate knowledge of complex concepts relating to transformation and innovation; have knowledge of project management software and processes; have excellent presentation skills; be well organized; have exceptional communication skills (written and verbal); enjoy working independently as well as closely with their co-workers in a supportive team environment; outstanding computer skills (to include Microsoft Office and SharePoint); above, average customer service skills; active listening skills; and a thorough understanding of process improvement practices.

Preferred Education/Experience
Clinical experience and previous experience with healthcare quality improvement, Electronic Health Records (EHR), and grant project implementation experience preferred.
