Program Assistant, School of Physician Assistant Studies
The Program Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations for the School of Physician Assistant Studies program. This position involves assisting program leaders, staff, faculty, and students to ensure a smooth and efficient educational environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to student success and the ability to offer effective support across the program. This position is part time at 20 hours a week.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide support for faculty by coordinating and/or assisting with the setup and breakdown of classrooms and labs, ensuring the timely availability of course materials, supplies, and equipment, making room reservations, proctoring exams, confirming guest lecturers, and creating schedules.
- Verify preceptor licenses and certifications, manage clinical calendars, coordinate site visits, maintain records of evaluations and clinical experiences, communicate with students regarding clinical placements, requirements, and expectations.
- Support the operations of the PA program, including addressing inquiries, disseminating information, coordinating meetings, maintaining program documentation, and assisting with program or university events.
- Participate in program improvement initiatives.
- Provide additional support as assigned by the Program Director.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Associate or bachelor’s degree; equivalent administrative or program support experience may be acceptable.
- Prior experience in an academic or health care setting preferred.
