Job Summary

The position is 100% grant funded.

The UK College of Social Work, Training Resource Center (TRC) is seeking a qualified Training Specialist. This position will be responsible for collaborating with relevant stakeholders to identify learning opportunities and needs, as well as relevant training topics for targeted audiences. The person in this position will develop, design, and deliver quality trainings in multiple modalities (i.e., in-person, asynchronous web-based, live virtual training, etc.) and will collaborate with IT staff to adapt curricula to web-based platforms. The Training Specialist will facilitate the ongoing review and improvement of existing trainings and training materials (i.e. PowerPoints, handouts, training announcements) by maintaining current knowledge on child welfare issues, resources, evidence-based practices, and training modalities. The Training Specialist will identify, implement, and disseminate promotion strategies to highlight and expand foster/adoptive parent training and support and serve as a TRC representative to child welfare, generally, and foster/adoptive parent training, specifically. The Training Specialist will coordinate and facilitate professional development/training opportunities for TRC contractors and provide technical assistance and support related to training issues. This position is also responsible for researching, soliciting, and coordinating the posting of relevant and current online resources for foster/adoptive families to College of Social Work maintained webpages. Qualified candidates will have a Professional Knowledge of Child Welfare Practices and Foster/Adoptive Service Provision, Instructional Design Skills, and Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills.
