All activities involve high levels of concentration and mental attention. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds. Requires long periods of sitting and/or standing. Requires long periods of typing/data entry. Repetitive motion.

Monday – Friday, Day Shift; 8:30 am – 5:30 pm (some evenings and weekends)



Job Summary

The Markey Cancer Center is recruiting a Program Coordinator II. This position oversees aspects of Markey Cancer Center (MCC) event planning and management, including internal and external events, for the administrative and education teams, in line with what is expected of an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. This includes an extensive slate of educational events and programs for MCC faculty and staff, in support of the MCC Strategic Plan, including but not limited to MCC’s weekly research seminar series during the academic year and the annual Markey Cancer Center Research Day. This position will also occasionally partner with MCC faculty and relevant internal and external leadership to host, plan, and execute regional, national, and international conferences, seminars, and other events in which MCC has a vested interest.

This position will have a hybrid work arrangement with 1 day remote and 4 days on-site.
