Position Description

With the Program Delivery team, participate in the planning and delivery of Required Curriculum (RC) and Elective Curriculum (EC) Programs

  • Create and maintain course syllabi, assignments, and announcements for SAS academic programs in Canvas Learning Management System
  • Under the guidance of a manager, prepare classroom materials and coordinate logistics for a subset of programs in the Program Delivery Team portfolio
  • Under the guidance of the assistant director, administer program-related special projects
  • Work with HBS campus partners to coordinate event planning and delivery needs for a subset of programs in coordinator portfolio
  • Provide faculty support for select EC courses, including scheduling, class material ordering, Canvas course creation and maintenance, and manage student reimbursements
  • Work with the Admit coordinator to monitor and update the RC and EC Checklists
  • Maintain documentation related to class delivery and work with the SAS Program Delivery Team to ensure that materials are organized, updated, and available
  • Support day-of classroom delivery of all programs and courses in the Required and Elective Curriculum portfolios as needed

Data Analysis
  • Using a team management application and Excel, assist with team assignments for simulations and class exercises for the Required and Elective Curriculum portfolio as needed
  • Create polls and manage enrollment process for opt-in MBA courses, monitor course enrollments and coordinate student assignments
  • Create polls and manipulate data for course use, including result analysis and distribution of results to appropriate parties

Customer Service and Communication
  • Triage and direct student communication as part of the customer service team responsible for the SAS Academic and Admit inboxes
  • Provide scheduled and backup in-person customer service support throughout the year as part of the customer service team.
  • Update and maintain myHBS and Admit pages for team activities and programs

Other duties for MBA Student & Academic Services as required
  • Participate in departmental goal-setting processes and implementation of priorities
  • Contribute to MBA, SAS, and Program Delivery initiatives and committees
  • This role is responsible for other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in administrative support role(s) is required.
  • Education beyond high school may count toward experience.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) experience is a must.

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Canvas LMS, Quickbase, Microsoft Teams, Sharepoint, and Qualtrics
  • Comfort with fast-paced environment working on various projects simultaneously in changing capacities
  • Good judgment, diplomacy, and the ability to work cross-functionally in directed and undirected environments
  • A knack for quickly learning new technologies

Additional Information

This is a 40 hours/week, overtime-eligible position.

This is a hybrid position which we consider to be a combination of remote and onsite work at our Boston, MA based campus. HBS expects all staff to be onsite a minimum of 3 days per week and departments provide onsite coverage Monday – Friday. Specific hours and days onsite will be determined by business needs and are subject to change with appropriate advanced notice.
