Job Summary
To develop, manage, and maintain the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) Program, College Promise Programs, and other learning support/opportunity programming database systems, reporting, assessment, and data. This includes processing student rosters for the Office of the Secretary of Higher Education (OSHE)/EOF NJFAMS (New Jersey Financial Aid Management System), preparing the OSHE/EOF state annual report, and tracking internal student academic performance, persistence, retention, tutoring usage, and other various learning support and opportunity service reports as needed by the Executive Director.
Additionally, the Analyst will provide technical support, interface with, and manage systems such as Microsoft Office (ACCESS database environment), Ellucian/Colleague, SQL Server, Tableau reporting, Business Objects Environment (BOE) reporting, and others as needed to maintain programming records.
Qualifications - Education
A Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, data science/management or related field required. Knowledge of Microsoft ACCESS, EXCEL, WORD and OUTLOOK, Tableau, and SQL servers is required. Programming knowledge is desirable. Master’s degree preferred.
Qualifications - Experience
Minimum of up to two years’ experience with relational databases and Visual Basic, as well as a broad knowledge of Windows operating systems. Help desk experience (troubleshooting) related to computer hardware and software is desirable. Dominant experience with PCs is necessary. Preferred experience includes working with data acquisition, reporting, and report development.
Qualifications - Skills
Proficiency in exporting and organizing data between applications effective oral and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, administration, and external constituencies. Experience working with underserved student groups is essential. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are also crucial.
