Description

The Mind Body Clinical Research Center (MB-CRC) in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Health and the Stony Brook Neurosciences Institute at Stony Brook Medicine seeks a full-time clinical psychologist to join our team. The psychologist will provide clinical services and contribute to wellness initiatives, research, academic and training activities of the center.

The mission of the MB-CRC is to improve the mental and physical health of individuals and communities through providing holistic clinical services, conducting basic and applied cutting-edge research, and training tomorrow's clinical research leaders, especially individuals with diverse identities and backgrounds.

The MB-CRC is also a member agency of the Stony Brook University Consortium Training Programs in psychology including a local externship, APA-accredited internship, and a post-doctoral training program.

Shifts totaling forty hours per week, including the possibility of evening hours; 50-100% of appointments/work via telehealth.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Ph.D./PsyD (or foreign equivalent) in Clinical Psychology from an APA or PCSAS-accredited University. New York State license or eligibility. Experience with conducting psychological evaluations and providing cognitive-behavioral therapy and other evidence-based psychotherapy. Experience with providing supervision to psychology trainees. Full time availability.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bi-lingual (Spanish-English). Training and experience in Women's Mental Health. Research program including record of peer-reviewed publications. Experience with grant writing and obtaining grant funding.
