Campus Location(s): Various (30% office/70% travel)

HOURS: Maximum 37.5 hours/week                                       SHIFT: Varies according to event dates and times

SUMMARY

The Recruiter works under the supervision of the President and the VP of Academics and Compliance promoting educational career opportunities to recruit dual credit, traditional, and non-traditional (adult learners) students, and to develop relationships with schools and community partners within our service area. Position requires approximately 70% travel/30% office.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Articulate written and oral communication skills
  • Public speaking confidence and enthusiasm
  • Detailed and results oriented
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Valid driver’s license

PREFERRED QUALIFICTIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience with social media platform management and data analytics
  • 3+ years of work experience in post-secondary education
  • Prior experience recruiting in an academic environment or equivalent

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES

  • Ability to plan and to work a flexible schedule to accommodate evening and weekend events
  • Maintain valid driver’s license and ability to operate a state vehicle to travel within the assigned service area
  • Ability to lift approximately 40 lbs., move and set up display tables, marketing gear and program materials
  • Ability to work with diverse populations, establish and maintain effective interpersonal working relationships, and deal tactfully with students, faculty, staff, community partners, and the public
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to express ideas clearly, concisely, and convincingly
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations, decision making, and problem solving
  • Ability to present program information and articulate steps of student enrollment process

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain assigned recruitment territory to include initiating and developing partner relationships with high school counselors and community partners  
  • Communicate with prospective and current students by phone, email, in person, website, and social media platforms
  • Disseminate information between internal departments, Admissions, Academics, Business Office, extended campuses
  • Maintain event calendar and use available technology for data collection, analysis, prospect tracking, and documentation of outcomes
  • Prepare and deliver presentations in small and large group settings, school visits, regional/county fairs, and community events
  • Schedule and coordinate campus tours, career fairs, open houses, and signing day events
  • Ensure that information on the institution’s website and social media platforms is current and engaging, submitting service tickets to TBR as revisions are needed

SPECIFIC DUTIES

  • Participate during in-service training, workshops, and other programs which provide professional growth
  • Attend all required staff meetings
  • Serve on the graduation committee
  • Create and work a flexible schedule not to exceed 37.5 hours per week
  • Other duties as assigned by administration

TIMELINE: Applicant submissions will be reviewed immediately.

SALARY RANGE: $37,866 – $47,332 annually, commensurate with experience and TBR/Tennessee College of Applied Technology salary guidelines.

PAYROLL: Monthly via direct deposit.
