Job Summary

Big Sandy Community and Technical College is seeking to fill our Registrar position. The Registrar will provide quality customer service to current and prospective students; assist with customer needs based on the request made via the phone, internet, office visits, or the call center; and provide information related to the individual student accounts to departmental based on request.

Job Duties:

  • Organize, supervise, and set goals and objectives for the daily operation of the Registrar and the Admissions and Records Office. This will include assisting students with information about all areas of college records, including Legacy records (grades, address updates, verification of program plan, assigned advisors, post transcript fees, or general questions).
  • Provide oversight for daily reporting for the national student clearinghouse and Parchment and manage the college waivers, including foster care, employee, state, and others that may be presented.
  • Evaluate and review all transfer coursework and ensure data is entered into PeopleSoft in a timely manner, ideally within 48 hours, serve as a backup for graduation and degree audits, and assists with correcting CPE errors as needed.
  • Resolve daily problems and questions regarding admissions and records while coordinating and successfully implementing the registration process.
  • Work in coordination with advisors and financial aid to resolve program and course applicability issues.
  • Verify all pre-graduation, graduation, general education and consortium agreements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree and 2 years of related experience.
