Job Summary

The position is located in Hazard, Kentucky.



The University of Kentucky Center of Excellence in Rural Health (UK CERH) is seeking Research Assistant Senior to join our team. In this role, you will assist in planning and coordinating our projects, research studies, and community outreach initiatives. You’ll work closely with the Principal Investigator and research team to ensure project success, engaging with external partners and community stakeholders to foster collaboration and support. Key responsibilities include recruiting and engaging participants, managing assessments and surveys, and organizing meetings and events. Additionally, you will handle data collection and management tasks, ensuring compliance with guidelines and preparing reports. Administrative duties such as scheduling, budget tracking, and procurement will also be part of your role. The ideal candidate will be adept at multitasking, organization, and possess strong communication skills.



This position will require travel throughout Kentucky.



Located in Hazard, Kentucky, approximately two hours from Lexington, the UK CERH was established in 1990 by state legislation to address health disparities in rural Kentucky. Our mission is to improve the health and well-being of rural Kentuckians, and for over three decades, we have partnered with communities, providers, students, and individuals to achieve this goal through health professions education, health policy research, health care services, and community engagement.





Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Microsoft Office, experience in project coordination, community engagement, and research support,ability to travel for work (i.e. meetings, conferences, technical assistance) on a regular basis.

Preferred Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of related experience. Valid driver’s license preferred.
