Job Summary

The Kentucky Energy Planning and Inventory Commission, administered by the University of Kentucky Center for Applied Energy Research, is an independent state commission tasked with insuring sufficiency, reliability and resiliency of the Kentucky electric power system. The Engineer Associate will report to the executive director of the commission. The position will serve as subject matter expert to the commission and support the executive director in carrying out studies approved by the commission. Duties will include contributing to the annual workplan, collection of data, analysis and modeling of the power system, economic and demand forecasting, and reporting.
