Job Summary

The Center for Oral Health Research seeks a Scientist II to develop in vitro and in vivo experiments to determine risk factors associated with health or periodontitis and assist in the development of investigator grants. This position requires a PhD with excellent teaching and communication skills with at least 3 years of postdoctoral or laboratorial research experience in cellular and molecular biology, particularly with an emphasis in eukaryotic cell biology tissue culture experience as well as strong experience in qPCR, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry techniques. Experience in working with mice and growing and maintaining bacterial cultures will also be desirable.



Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Cell culture, anaerobic microbiology, DNA, RNA, protein analysis, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Education/Experience

PhD in Microbiology or Biochemistry. 4 years experience preferred.
