Physical Requirements

This position requires regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to or over 50 pounds; and performing tasks with repetitive motions.



Shift

Primarily Monday through Friday, 9:30am to 6:00pm.



Job Summary

The Staff Support Associate plays a key role in customer satisfaction for the Office of Patient Experience, Perioperative Services Department, and UKHC enterprise. The primary job function of the SSA is to assist with patient throughput, wayfinding, maintaining a safe environment, and ensuring and effective communication between patient families, the physician, and the Perioperative Services staff.



Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Excellent communication skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; the ability to work in fast-paced, high stress, team-centered environment, and an understanding of healthcare information systems.

Preferred Education/Experience

Must have high school education or higher and at least 2 years in customer service. History in medical setting highly preferred.
