Shift

Primarily Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (40 hours per week), occasional evenings and weekends, as needed.



Job Summary

Living Learning Program Oversight
  • Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day functions of the Audre Lorde Social Justice LLP and the Transfer Year Experience LLP
  • Work with Residence Life staff to develop and implement programming for the Audre Lorde Social Justice LLP and the Transfer Year Experience LLP
  • Teach the connected courses for the Transfer Year Experience LLP
  • Collaborate with partners in the International Center to develop and implement programming for the International Village LLP
  • Assist in the redevelopment of a social justice-based LLP for the 2024-2025 academic year
  • Coordinate regular LLP team meetings with the Transfer Year Experience LLP, Audre Lorde Social Justice LLP and International Village LLP
  • Review incoming student applications for the Transfer Year Experience LLP and International Village LLP for the 2024-2025 academic year

Supervision
  • Provide direct supervision to the LLP Peer Mentors for the Audre Lorde Social Justice LLP
  • Communicate regularly with the Audre Lorde Social Justice LLP Peer mentors through regular staff meetings
  • Co-supervise the International Village LLP Peer Mentors with partners in the International Center
  • Assist with on-boarding and training of LLP Peer Mentors
  • Work with Blazer Hall and Boyd Hall staff to create collaborative efforts between the LLP Peer Mentors and the building student staff

Administration
  • Communicate regularly with current LLP students, including outreach regarding early alerts and other student issues
  • Assist in LLP recruitment events such as Preview Nights, Big Blue Open House and Merit Days, along with the Assistant Director for LLPs and Associate Director for LLPs & Marketing
  • Communicate with incoming students and families regarding interest in LLPs
  • Meet regularly with the Assistant Director for LLPs and Associate Director for LLPs regarding LLP strategic initiatives and assessment
