Lift and handle supplies and boxes (up to 50 lbs.). Periodically walk long distances across campus. o Sit for long periods (1-3 hours at a time).

Job Summary

General Responsibilities

• Administrative Support:
o Schedule meetings, manage calendars, and send reminders.
o Draft, proofread, and copy documents, letters, and reports.
o Respond to emails and maintain office correspondence.
o Assist with compliance requirements for grants and processing paperwork for vendors.
o Manage online resources, including the website, and handle bulk mailings.
o Act as a liaison between multiple departments.
o Perform virtual or in-person outreach.
o Assist with campus errands.
o Assist with general duties as assigned.

• Event Management:
o Assist in planning and overseeing significant events (e.g., Global Health Case Competition, keynote speakers, book club, brigade preparation).
o Reserve facilities, equipment, and conference rooms.
o Manage budgets for events by conducting price research and product availability.
o Work during events and handle post-event follow-ups, including travel preparation and evaluation.

• Communication and Reporting:
o Prepare and send quarterly stakeholder updates.
o Assist in assembling reports and data requests.
o Type minutes for meetings.

Special Projects:

• Short-term Experiences in Global Health (StEGH; Brigades):
o Maintain supplies and inventory (e.g., t-shirts, oral health supplies).
o Assist with general preparation, including scheduling, interpreter training, and vision station management.
o Assist with list reconciliation of StEGH payments, flight lists, and ensure proper packing lists
o Assist in completion of professional liability insurance paperwork.

• Fundraising and Marketing:
o Draft fundraising materials and thank you letters.
o Manage social media posts and promotional events.
o Assist in reserving rooms and filling out the Event Management System.

• Global Health Case Competition:
o Reserve rooms and supplies, manage team distribution, and update packets.
o Assist with special event management, including participant management, career booths and food options.
o Draft email invites, reserve tables, distribute supplies.

• Peace Corps Prep:
o Assist with communications and outreach to targeted student groups.
o Draft social media posts and help design collaborative programming.
o Maintain updated participant tracking information.



Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

• Skills and Attributes:
o Strong decision-making abilities, with an emphasis on critical thinking, resourcefulness, and collaboration.
o Excellent organizational, communication, and writing skills.
o Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
o Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain flexibility.

Preferred Education/Experience

Speaking advanced Spanish, experience with grants, and/or global health initiatives a plus!
