The Child Welfare Education (CWE) Recruiter is responsible for identifying, engaging, and recruiting prospective students for child welfare education programming. This role involves building strong relationships with educational institutions, community organizations, and potential candidates to promote the value and impact of a career in child welfare. The recruiter will work closely with academic programs, program managers, and child welfare agencies to develop and implement targeted recruitment strategies aimed at attracting students who are passionate about making a difference.
Student Recruitment
- Develop, implement, and manage a strategic recruitment plan to attract high-achieving students across undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs within Child Welfare Education (CWE).
- Oversee daily student-centered recruitment activities, including responding to general inquiries, coordinating individual meetings for prospective students, and organizing recruitment events such as campus tours and special events.
- Collaborate closely with relevant stakeholders to develop innovative recruitment strategies, ensuring that each CWE program has customized efforts aligned with its specific application requirements and expectations.
- Manage the annual recruitment calendar and budget and build relationships with partner institutions to increase interest and awareness of CWE programs.
- Plan and host both on-campus and virtual recruitment events across the state.
Marketing/Communication Liaison
- In coordination with program Marketing and Communication staff and partner institutions, create, develop, and implement timely and relevant communication plans with all prospective and admitted students for Child Welfare Education (CWE) programs.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive, strategic communications plan aimed at attracting a diverse pool of applicants, including those with relevant work experience and online candidates.
- Tailor and deliver recruitment presentations to specific audiences, ensuring alignment with overall communication strategies.
- Coordinate with the team to host on-campus visits for potential students and their families, ensuring a personalized and informative experience.
- Collaborate with CWE administration and other professionals to follow up on student inquiries and maintain ongoing communication to support student matriculation.
- Assist with fall, spring, and summer orientations, as well as other student events, working in tandem with the Marketing and Communication team to ensure consistent messaging and engagement.
Data Management
- Create, monitor, and report on recruitment outcomes and enrollment forecasts for Child Welfare Education (CWE) programs.
- Develop and manage data analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies, ensuring continuous optimization for improved results.
- Oversee data management for CWE programs by running daily reports on admissions to track applications, admissions, deferrals, and confirmed students.
- Monitor and analyze critical student attributes, including region, test scores, GPA, ethnicity, first-generation status, and areas of study interest, to refine and enhance targeted recruitment efforts.
- Provide CWE Program Managers with detailed reports and visually compelling data graphics that support decision-making processes aimed at maintaining and expanding enrollment in CWE programs.
