Job Summary

Locally owned and operated since 2012, Independence Assistance is a Personal Service Agency that provides at-home care for individuals with needs stemming from disability or aging to keep them safe and independent at home. We are committed to helping our clients remain independent at home in the Bluegrass. We work in 19 different counties throughout Central Kentucky, and we are dedicated to helping individuals and families. Our services range from housekeeping, personal care, escort/transportation services, medication reminders, shopping, respite/companionship, and memory care.

Job Purpose

As a professional Care Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting individuals in their home to attain personal outcomes and desires by establishing a positive and respectful relationship with each individual served.

Essential Functions

Assist with client’s personal care needs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, etc. Provide companionship care for elderly clients in their own homes
Transport clients to and from appointments
Provide or assist in light housekeeping, including meal preparation, laundry and grocery shopping
Maintain high degree of client confidentiality at all times due to sensitive information
Complete mandatory training as assigned
Maintain regular and consistent attendance
