Job Summary

Elizabethtown Community & Technical College is seeking two highly motivated and student-focused individuals to provide academic coaching to students at all campus locations and/or make appropriate referrals. This position will assist students with admissions information, assessment, career counseling, program information, and early intervention strategies.

Job Duties:

In addition, the Success Coach will provide enrollment advising and registration information. The position will be in the Student Success Hub at the Elizabethtown campus and report to the Director of Student Success and Tutoring.
• Work closely with academic advisors and success coaches to assist students in creating realistic academic goals and strategies to achieve those goals.
• Coordinate early alert outreach to at-risk students using programs like Starfish.
• Collaborate with colleagues to provide students with information on subjects that lead to success such as goal setting, financial literacy, time management, classroom success skills, and others.
• Refer students to academic support services and community resources as needed to overcome barriers to success i.e. Academic Advising, Tutoring, Family Scholar House, etc.
• Evaluate current strategies and develop new outreach efforts to meet student needs such as probation status.
• Prepare retention reports regarding student success.
• Participate in registration/enrollment activities.
• Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (Education with a focus on Counseling or Student Affairs, or related field), and two years of related experience.
