Physical Requirements
Lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to 50lbs; Standing or walking with objects up to 25lbs; Sitting at computer workstation for extended periods; Repetitive motion.
May travel to/or work at various on-campus locations. While work is primarily done in an office environment, work may be performed in the field, and position holder be exposed to elements of weather and temperature extremes when reviewing job sites.
Shift
8:00 am – 5:00 pm (Monday – Friday). Hours of work may vary dependent upon situational factors requiring evening(s), weekend(s), and holiday(s) response.
Job Summary
The Technical Project Specialist I at the University of Kentucky’s Smart Campus department leads and supports the design, development, and integration of digital technology projects. The role focuses on interactive design, data visualization, and digital signage while managing full-scale projects from concept to completion. The Specialist collaborates with various campus departments to enhance student engagement through technology and ensures the security, maintenance, and continuous improvement of systems. Strong skills in project management, design, and communication are essential for success.
