Job Summary
The College of Nursing is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to support the Office of Research in a dynamic, fast-paced academic setting. This position plays a key role in providing research and project management support to the College, helping faculty and investigators secure and manage awarded grant funding, while also coordinating various research-related initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and communicate funding opportunities, facilitate proposal reviews, and maintain grant-related databases and templates.
- Collaborate, plan and coordinate research seminars, workshops, and development activities.
- Oversee research support activities, such as Collaborative Writing Workgroups, and manage the graduate research assistant program.
- Collaborate with the University’s Collaborative Grant Services (CGS) on all phases of grant management, providing support for both pre- and post-award processes.
- Offer recommendations on resource use and assist with budget management and documentation.
- Serve as a liaison between faculty, College leadership, and administrative offices, ensuring effective communication on project progress, changes in effort allocation, and organizational change management practices.
- Provide training and support to ensure successful adoption of project management tools.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge related to research project management, ensuring both individual and organizational success.
