Motlow State is located in the beautiful rolling hills of middle Tennessee and has four campuses that serve students from eleven counties. Motlow positions are contingent upon funding availability and budget approval.
Job Summary
Motlow State Community College periodically hires temporary employees in a variety of areas. When needed, temporary employees offer support to staff, faculty, and administrators.
Minimum Qualifications
Because this application is for a variety of positions on various campuses, the qualifications differ based on position need. Hiring committees will review applicants that meet the need in their area. Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to effectively use interpersonal communications skills with emphasis on initiative and execution of duties in support of the college mission in a diverse community
- Strong computer skills to include database management, word processing, spreadsheets, and email
- Knowledge of current acceptable office procedures
- Ability to organize, prioritize, schedule, and manage duties effectively and efficiently
- Knowledge of and ability to efficiently utilize organization and time management strategies
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of protected information
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices and the ability to effectively apply them in the higher education environment.
