Will process and reconcile daily cash transactions to ensure accuracy and prompt completion as well as collaborates with the financial aid staff to manage Title IV reimbursements and draws. You will make an impact by:

Conducting accounting activities requiring a thorough understanding of widely accepted accounting principles. Assisting with and overseeing daily cash management for the organization’s operational needs.

  • Assisting in maintaining and reconciling daily cash schedule, credit card settlements, and various bank accounts.
  • Processing bank and wire transfers on a daily or weekly basis, ensuring they meet required criteria and deadlines.
  • Preparing journal entries daily or monthly, ensuring they are completed on schedule and properly signed off.
  • Calculating Title IV amounts for daily G5 processing.
  • Verifying interest and fee charges.
  • Posting all banking transactions in the GL that are not posted by accounting or AP system to match the daily cash report.
  • Assisting in managing outstanding check ledger.
  • Assisting in filing of government required forms such as interest, remittance, and escheatment.
  • Assisting with audit requests to provide supporting documentation.

Your experience includes:

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Knows principles, theories, and concepts of the profession through practical experience.
  • Knowledge of database and accounting computer application systems.
  • Basic Excel knowledge utilizing lookup formulas, filters, and pivot tables.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal skills.
  • MS Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and internet research.
  • Experience with CampusVue and Great Plains preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field preferred.

Compensation:

  • $32.75/hour - $47.49/hour

  • This is a Hybrid position where you will work in our administrative office 3 days/week and from your home office 2 days/week.
