<li>The faculty member must be familiar with using a Learning Management System for conducting face-to-face and online classes. </li>
<li>The faculty member will be responsible for the coordinating, planning, preparing, presenting, and evaluating classroom instruction and related activities, including overseeing all compliance requirements of the FAR Part 141 standards. </li>
<li>Managing agreements with flight training providers with the goal of increasing student completions in the pilot program. </li>

This is a full-time, support position reporting to the Vice President of Student Services Administration and provides office and clerical support for effective, efficient and successful operation of the office. 
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Serves as Office Receptionist and answers/appropriately handles/routes telephone calls.</li>
<li>Manages schedule and calendar and sets meetings as directed.</li>
<li>Provides outstanding customer service to faculty, staff, students and general public.</li>
<li>Opens, logs-in, sorts, and logs-out all mail.</li>
<li>Prepares and processes routine business forms and paperwork associated with Vice President’s office.</li>
<li>Efficiently manages files.</li>
<li>Effectively communicates with and provides follow-up with students, faculty, staff and the public.</li>
<li>Handles travel arrangements.</li>
<li>Provides word processing.</li>
<li>Handles special arrangements for meetings, events, and workshops.</li>
<li>May perform other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma (Associate or Bachelor degree preferred). 
</li>
<li>Four (4) or more years’ experience in an office setting (experience in higher education office preferred). 
</li>
<li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel Software. 
</li>
<li>Excellent human relations skills. 
</li>
<li>Excellent time management and organizational skills. 
</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills. 
</li>

Job Summary
This is a full-time, tenure-track faculty appointment within the Business and Legal Studies department to teach Accounting courses. The faculty member is responsible for the planning, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities.
The faculty member is responsible for performing assigned duties during the day, evening, or weekend on any Southwest Tennessee Community College campus. At a minimum, the related activities include instruction, academic advising, serving on various committees, participating in professional activities and organizations.
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Prepares and delivers instruction on topics in the areas of Accounting within the Business and Legal Studies Department.</li>
<li>Administers, evaluates and grades students' class assignments, tests, and papers; and promptly informs students of their grades and progress in the course.</li>
<li>Maintains office hours for advising students seeking assistance with class assignments, academic and career fields.</li>
<li>Maintains accurate student attendance records, grades, and other required records.</li>
<li>Attends all faculty meetings, college assemblies, professional development and orientation activities, and other meetings as called by the President, Dean or Department Chair.</li>
<li>Participates in departmental and college committees and provides service to the college and community.</li>
<li>Keeps abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, collaborating with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences.</li>
<li>May perform other duties as assign by Department Chair/Dean.</li>
</ul>
Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Master's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in Accounting from an accredited institution or a related field.</li>
<li>Minimum three (3) years demonstrated excellence in classroom/laboratory teaching experience at the community college level is required.</li>

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of current teaching and learning strategies to facilitate student-centered learning; experience interacting successfully with an ever-growing student population.</li>

<li>Ability to teach classes using various instructional delivery methods at any of the six locations.</li>
<li>Ability to communicate written information and ideas effectively.</li>

Title: Faculty – Aviation Operations Technology (Tenure-Track)

Job Summary
This is a full-time, tenure track, Faculty position in the Technologies Department. The faculty member is responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities. The appointee is responsible for performing assigned teaching duties during the day, evening, or weekend on any Southwest Tennessee Community College campus. The faculty member must be knowledgeable and able to instruct in the following technical subject areas: aerodynamics, meteorology, aircraft systems, safety management systems, airline industry, flight operations management, human factors, and aircraft structures. The individual must be able to conduct flight training on the simulators. The faculty member must be familiar with using a Learning Management System for conducting face-to-face and online classes. The faculty member will be responsible for the coordinating, planning, preparing, presenting, and evaluating classroom instruction and related activities, including overseeing all compliance requirements of the FAR Part 141 standards. The faculty member will also manage agreements with flight training providers with the goal of increasing student completions in the pilot program. 
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Prepares and delivers lectures on topics of the Aviation Operations Technology program.</li>
<li>Maintains office hours for students seeking advice on class work, assignments, papers, etc.</li>
<li>Compiles, administers, evaluates, and grades students' class work, assignments, tests, and papers; and keeps students informed about their progress by observation and informs them of corrective measures necessary for skill improvement.</li>
<li>Participates in student advising on academic and vocational curricula and on career issues while utilizing all resources within the college for guidance of students.</li>
<li>Attends all faculty meetings, college assemblies, professional development and orientation activities and other meetings as called by the President, Dean or Department Chair.</li>
<li>Keeps abreast of developments in the field, providing recommendations to the department chair on program improvement and development.</li>
<li>Maintains accurate student attendance records, grades, and other required records in compliance with federal FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) regulations.</li>
<li>Provides service/outreach in the college and community by serving on college, division, and departmental committees, and by participating in scholarly activities in the community.</li>
<li>Participates in recruiting/retention efforts of the college and department and in community activities.</li>
<li>May perform other duties as assigned by Department Head/Dean.</li>
</ul>
Minimum Qualifications

<li>Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college/university 
</li>
<li>Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) pilot's certifications and endorsements to meet departmental requirements under Part 141 to include:

<li>FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate

<li>Certified Flight Instructor 
</li>
<li>Certified Flight Instructor (Instrument) 
</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Three years documented experience in the aviation industry

Preferred Qualifications

<li>Greater than 3 years documented experience in the aviation industry

<li>Experience with distance learning and/or alternate instructional delivery systems
