Minimum Qualifications
Associate Degree or Diploma from an accredited technical training program in the occupation to be taught Three years of related industry work experience within the last five years

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite—Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Express, Lightroom Photo, Premiere Pro Video, Adobe InDesign

High degree of knowledge in all aspects of digital graphic design Computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Organizational and communication skills necessary to be an effective teacher. Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to implement processes/procedures according to policies. Willingness to remain current through continued education in the occupation to be taught. Potential ability in instruction. Strong, moral character, mature attitude, and stable personality.

      Associate Instructor Digital Graphic Design Technology
    

Dyersburg State Community College invites applicants for Mathematics adjunct instructors for day, evening, and online classes held in Dyersburg, Covington, Paris, or at one of our other off-campus centers. Initial assignment may be at one of our teaching locations, but the official work station assignment may change each semester. The successful applicant will become certified and fully use the course management system (eLearn) for all classes. The applicant will also attend required meetings, report attendance, early alert notifications, and final grades prior to the established deadline, and will communicate curriculum and personnel needs or changes as appropriate to their assigned chair/dean. This position reports to the Chair of Fine Arts &amp; Mathematics and the Dean of Arts, Sciences, &amp; Technologies.
Requirements of the Position
Duties and Responsibilities: Teach assigned courses for discipline in Covington, Dyersburg, and/or Paris; prepare course materials; evaluate student learning, maintain class records, and submit required reports on time.
Working Conditions: Sedentary: Desk work; occasional travel may be required for college or program activities. Insignificant effort other than normal movement.&nbsp; Minimal Hazard/Exposure: Standard office settings. At least minimal environmental controls to assure health and comfort.
Required Qualifications: Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with 18 graduate semester hours in Mathematics.
Ability to communicate effectively with students and other college personnel required.&nbsp;
