Roane State Community College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Computer Science with Cloud Technologies specialization beginning August 1, 2024. The successful candidate will serve in support of Roane State’s A.A.S. in Computer Information Technology, which offers concentrations in programming, cyber defense, networking, and Cloud Technologies. Job Duties
<ul>
<li>The successful candidate will be part of a well-established program already designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense, and ATMAE accredited.</li>
<li>The faculty member will be responsible for teaching courses in Cloud technologies including distance education programs where appropriate.</li>
<li>Other duties include holding office hours, advising students, service to college and community, and maintaining a program of professional development.</li>
</ul>
Minimum Qualifications
Master of Science degree in computer science or computer engineering from a regionally accredited institution. Candidates with degrees in related fields should expound on their qualifications in the cover letter. 
Graduation from an institution that has a history of AWS Cloud Technologies certifications is a must. 
We will also accept relevant professional experience in other cloud technologies and virtualization, which should be explained in detail in the cover letter.

Preferred Qualifications

As a department, Campus police are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at the Hardin Valley Campus, and answer the emergency calls to 865.694.6649 at any hour.&nbsp;
Per TCA 49-7-118 “Campus police officer” means a person commissioned by an employing institution, school, or board and rendered an oath to provide police services, enforce law, exercise arrest authority and carry firearms, and thus is subject to the Tennessee POST commission.

30% Patrols college grounds and adjacent areas on foot and in motor vehicle to deter crime. 25% Conducts investigations into criminal activity, motor vehicle accidents, illness and injuries. Manual dexterity is required for personal protection, weapons retention and proper use of authorized weapons. The police officer is required to wear a ballistic vest under the authorized uniform and a duty belt around their waist that supports their firearm and holster and other required equipment. The total weight of the ballistic vest, firearm and other equipment weighs approximately 25 pounds. ​The police officer is required to be able to stand on their feet for long periods of time, walk long distances around campus and climb at least three flights of stairs without becoming exhausted. Job Summary
The Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) program director position is a full-time core faculty member of the RSCC Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. Developing, implementing, evaluating and revising the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program’s master plan of education. 
This is a 12 month position.
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>The Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) program director position is a full-time core faculty member of the RSCC Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. In addition to the duties and responsibilities as a full-time faculty at RSCC (PA-24-01), the DMS program director is responsible for:</li>
<li>Developing, implementing, evaluating and revising the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program’s master plan of education.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Coordinating the development, implementation, and revision process for the program’s curriculum design; including but not limited to, course descriptions, course requirements, and evaluation systems.</li>
<li>Developing program evaluation to ensure ongoing effectiveness through outcomes assessment of quality indicators.</li>
<li>Preparing and maintaining the program budget within established parameters as needed for the program.</li>
<li>Overseeing the evaluation, maintenance, selection, and purchase of educational materials and equipment to meet the needs of the program.</li>
<li>Collaborating with the Diagnostic Medical Sonography faculty to meet the needs of students and program assessment.</li>
<li>Assisting in the process of interviewing, selecting and mentoring faculty.</li>
<li>Interviewing, selecting, mentoring and evaluating adjunct faculty who teach courses within the program under the general supervision.</li>
<li>Counseling and advising prospective and current students.</li>
<li>Serving as a liaison between the program and affiliates/community stakeholders.</li>
<li>Assisting in reviewing affiliation agreements as needed.</li>
<li>Preparing annual reports for the Dean, college representatives and other agencies as needed.</li>
<li>Pursuing ongoing education in the discipline, instructional delivery and management maintain professional competency.</li>
<li>Collaborating with faculty to create a positive learning environment.</li>
<li>Coordinating and directing the procedures required to maintain program accreditation.</li>
<li>Coordinating Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program Advisory Board meetings.</li>
</ul>
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of Bachelor of Science degree. Possess the appropriate credentials specific to one or more of the concentrations offered o Echocardiography, vascular, abdominal, &amp; ob/gyn. • Documented experience in supervision, instruction, evaluation, student guidance and In educational theories and techniques. • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a registered sonographer in the professional sonography field.
Approval of this position dependent upon funding availability. Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree or higher.

Job Duties

<li>Maintains good working relationships with local law enforcement agencies and emergency management agencies.</li>
<li>Enforces campus policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Completes preliminary offenses reports when those are committed on campus and a certified police officer is unavailable.</li>
<li>Forwards same to a certified officer for investigation and completion.</li>
<li>Properly uses and maintains all law enforcement equipment.</li>

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED and a valid Tennessee operator license issued by the Tennessee Department of Safety are required. Position Summary: To increase student success and retention through collaborative learning.
Department: PSCC-TRiO Student Support Services
Location: The location will depend on which campus the SI/Peer Tutoring supported class is taught. Hardin Valley campus will use the SI Room, Peer Tutoring Math Lab, and/or Study Rooms in the ERC. Other locations vary.
Pay Rate: Amount of pay per hour according to academic level. • Peer Tutor (Student Employment Program) $13.00 – no experience; $14.00- 6 months experience; $15.00- 9 months experience • Tutor I (Less than 1 year experience) $15.38 • Tutor II (1-3 years of experience) $17.00 • Tutor II (3+ year &amp; experience) $19.00
Duties and Responsibilities: 1. 80% Tutor students individually and in groups.
2. 5% Complete tutor training activities.
3. 5% Confer with other tutors and teachers to resolve students’ problems.
4. 10% Complete documentation of tutoring activities.
