Maintain Daily Crime Log as per Department of Education guidelines and track campus crime statistics for Annual Security Report. 5% Create requisition purchase forms for annual department expenditures. Research office equipment and supply items to be purchased for department and prepare requisition forms in the SciQuest (Pellibiz) system. Review requisition forms submitted by other members of the department to ensure accuracy and completeness. Track department expenditures in the SciQuest (Pellibiz) system to ensure invoices are accurate and promptly paid. Review and track “Requests for Leave” and “Leave Reports” for department personnel and provide administrative and clerical support to the Chief of Police, Deputy Chief, Sergeants, Police Officers, and other department staff.
5% Operate the central alarm panel when a fire or security alarm is activated and during emergency drills. Assist with informing department supervisors of alarm conditions and emergency situations. Assist with coordinating and directing local police, fire, and EMS personnel in responding to an emergency on campus.
5% Process parking/traffic violation tickets and validate owner/operator information in the State of Tennessee’s vehicle registration database. Log ticket information into the Campus Police database. Process ticket appeal forms, notify appellants of information regarding hearing date, recruit and establish new Ticket Appeal Review Committee every month (for integrity reasons). Conduct Ticket Appeal Hearings and notify appellants of hearing results via email and USPS. Job Summary
The Adjunct History Instructor is responsible for teaching history courses on a part-time basis. This role involves delivering engaging lectures, facilitating discussions, and assessing student performance to foster a deep understanding of historical events and contexts.




Job Duties:
<ul>
<li>Teach History (HIS) 109: History of the US Since 1865 to dual credit students. The course is scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 to 10:45 AM at the Urban Metro campus in Covington. 
</li>
<li>Provide instruction on historical topics, ensuring students gain a comprehensive understanding of significant events, figures, and movements. 
</li>
<li>Encourage active participation through discussions, group activities, and other interactive teaching methods. 
</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in History from a regionally accredited institution.

In collaboration with team members in the Office of Institutional Advancement, the Alumni Relations Manager will develop, maintain, and strengthen key supportive alumni relationships with the College. This position will build alumni engagement through fundraising, events, and volunteer opportunities.JOB FUNCTIONS:<ol><li>Responsible for the planning and coordination of Homecoming activities; works with appropriate college departments to ensure PR and community outreach, participation of alumni, students, and friends, and the development of revenue generation through sponsorships and registrations.</li><li>Serves as the liaison to the Newberry College Alumni Board of Managers; plans and attends BOM meetings; ensures be laws are adhered to; works successfully with members to build alumni and chapter engagement as well as cultivate and solicit for gifts to the College.</li><li>Develops and schedules multiple events, meetings, and activities throughout the year with an emphasis on building and maintaining relationships with alumni; Conduct visits or connects members of the Advancement team to alumni to solicit financial support for the College.</li><li>Coordinates and conceptualizes communications with alumni, including e-newsletters and social media posts; collects and organizes Class Notes and updates; collaborates with marketing department to ensure timely publication of Dimensions magazine; ensures alumni webpage is updated regularly.</li><li>Assists Advancement team members in increasing senior student philanthropy with the goal of building a young alumni giving program.</li><li>Identifies and recruits alumni Class Agents to plan class reunion recognition and giving initiatives, increase event participation, and maintain a stream of updated biographical/contact information.</li><li>Manages and updates alumni records in collaboration with the Director of Advancement Services.</li><li>Other duties as assigned by Vice President of Institutional Advancement.</li></ol>EDUCATIONAL OR OTHER HIRING REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITIONBachelor’s degree is required. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with team members, the administration, and the various constituencies of Newberry College. POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction in an equitable environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Teach courses via on-ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned. Work with course leads and/or program coordinators/directors to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences. Utilize the college’s learning management system to provide course materials to students. Submit updated department syllabi prior to the first day of class. Regularly check NSCC email and departmental mailbox. Respond to emails/messages within 48 hours except on the weekend.
Complete all required reports such as student engagement, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions; administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the required deadlines. Engage in departmental institutional effectiveness activities. Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the registrar. Work with students as academic advisor as assigned. Comply with all college and TBR policies and guidelines. This position will be based on the North Davidson campus in Madison with teaching assignments at the Southeast campus in Antioch. Additional teaching assignments are possible at any campus or site at which NSCC instruction takes place.
