Job Duties:
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES Organizes and assists in the planning of the campus lab nursing student experience for all levels of the Nursing Department to include Nurse Aide, Practical Nursing, and Associate Degree Nursing Programs. The person in this position will teach nurse aide courses (depending on qualifications) and participate in testing nurse aide students for the Kentucky Medicaid Nurse Aide registry. • Assist students in the practice of skills and help students who need remediation in skills. • Assist in simulation lab with simulation coordinator as assigned. • Work closely with the nursing faculty and director in planning classroom space and activities. Schedule classroom space to meet the needs of faculty and students working with other campus resource personnel. Schedule and accommodate student usage of computer programs, videos, and equipment. • Assist with the organization and care of the lab space and equipment. • Set up campus labs for faculty instruction and skills demonstration and keep the labs organized and ready for the next class. • Maintain labs in a physically and environmentally safe and presentable manner, as well as adhere to all OSHA standards and college policies. • Assist in the ordering and maintaining of current inventory of supplies and in completing equipment requests. • Assist nursing director in budget and SNA preparation with needs of the labs. • Work with the HCC Bookstore to plan and oversee the purchase of nurse packets for students. • Teach at least one NAA 100 course or manage at least one clinical group per semester (depending on qualifications). • Participate as a tester in the Kentucky Nurse Aide testing on HCC campus as needed. • Attend nursing faculty meetings as available when not in student activities. • Perform other duties as assigned.

The ATDT Adjunct Instructor must monitor, grade and evaluate individual student progress; maintain student records in the college’s student records management software; maintain appropriate documentation, and submit timely reports. The position participates in event planning, oversees house management and venues’ theatrical systems.Position DescriptionEvent Production: 30% <ul><li>Meets with building users to plan events, advising on full, safe and appropriate use of the venues</li><li>Reviews and approves the technical scope, feasibility, and timeline for proposed events</li><li>Prepares or approves CAD drawings for event-specific room arrangements</li><li>Participates in the planning and logistical oversight of Commencement/Reunions activity in the Complex</li><li>Plans and supervises the logistical and technical aspects of special events in the complex</li></ul>House Management and Operations Systems: 20% <ul><li>Establishes and oversees House Management policies and procedures including those addressing safety, customer service, crowd control, emergency response, patron comfort and assistance for patrons and performers with disabilities</li><li>Supervises the scheduling and coordination of equipment load-ins set ups strikes and load outs, table moves, piano moves and tunings, parking, security and custodial coverage for events</li><li>Trains student event producers on safe and effective House Management procedures</li><li>Oversees event producers and their vendors on safe and efficient use of the space</li></ul>Supervisory Responsibilities: 20% <ul><li>Manages three permanent and 40 Temporary and LtHT student and non-student staff.</li><li>Flex-time scheduling of staff based on administrative and event coverage needs</li><li>Sets up and oversees Usher and Production Assistant training procedures</li><li>Oversees payroll processes for staff</li></ul>Technical Responsibilities: 20% <ul><li>Operates, maintains, and plans upgrades for theatrical systems</li><li>Trains student producers on technical theatre requirements for their events as well as use of equipment</li><li>Acts as audio/video technical information resource for special projects</li></ul>Financial Responsibilities: 5% <ul><li>Administers $200K sub-department budget for equipment, services, and non-permanent personnel</li><li>Tracks, reconciles and submits bills, invoices, and special event expenses</li></ul>Summer Project Oversight: 5%<ul><li>Coordinates summer programs renting space at the complex</li><li>&nbsp;Advises on policies and practices, and coordinating with other departments on campus</li></ul>Basic Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree</li><li>Minimum three (3) years’ experience in production management</li></ul>Additional Qualifications and Skills<ul><li>Experience with direct supervision</li><li>Ability to lead a team with strong supervisory skills</li><li>Experience operating and maintaining theatrical lighting, sound, video and basic rigging equipment required&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work effectively with faculty, students, and staff from diverse backgrounds</li><li>Excellent communication skills</li><li>Experience in event planning and execution preferred</li><li>Knowledge of entertainment/technical theater industry standard, local, state, and national crowd control and technical theater safety codes and applications</li><li>Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and computer aided drafting software required</li><li>Availability to work a varied schedule, including weekends, nights and holidays</li></ul>Physical RequirementsAbility to lift 50lbs, walk or stand for extended periods of time and work at heights – from ladders, scaffolding and liftsWorking Conditionson site postionAdditional InformationThe Office for the Arts at Harvard supports student engagement in the arts and integrates the arts into University life.
