Title: Access Services Coordinator
POSITION SUMMARY Coordinates the College’s disabilities services program for students, including assessing student needs and identifying and organizing instructional and technology supports.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Serves as the College’s liaison and informational representative for students with disabilities. Assesses students’ individual needs using evaluation reports, interviews and professional acumen and judgement and engages in an interactive process with students and relevant personnel to determine appropriate reasonable accommodations for students. SUMMARY
The Industrial Maintenance and Automation Instructor shall be directly responsible to the institution administration for effective performance of assigned responsibilities and duties. The instructor shall observe rules, policies, and regulations set forth by the Tennessee College of Applied Technology Shelbyville (TCAT), Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR), and the Council of Occupational Education (COE); and shall strive to promote and elevate the mission and philosophy of occupational education within the areas served. They shall keep abreast of industry standards and techniques by visiting industry partners, continuing education, and reviewing periodicals and industrial magazines commensurate to the course being taught.&nbsp; The instructor shall develop and maintain a complete progressive course of study, lesson plans, assignments, and instructional aides to meet educational requirements and industry standards. They shall also oversee student conduct, motivation, safety, discipline, and appearance, addressing issues as they arise. The instructor shall build and cultivate partnering relationships with schools, business, and industry partners to promote the ideals of occupational education and implement an effective placement program for students.&nbsp;
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Job Duties:
Serves as an Advocate/Recruiter for the Western Region Migrant Education Service Center. In this role you will monitor closed buildings for unauthorized persons and/or suspicious activities; provide escort services for visitors, students, staff, and faculty; and provide public assistance, such as lockout services, jump-starts, and routine information. Responsibilities include watching for and reporting irregularities such as security breaches and hazards, contacting emergency responders, confronting and/or detaining violators until police arrive, and performing periodic checks of emergency call boxes and/or streetlights to ensure proper functioning. In this position you will be expected to prepare routine, standardized reports, control access to facilities and events, and serve as the Campus Security Authority as outlined by the Clery Act.The ideal candidate must maintain a level of physical fitness that allows for standing/walking inside or outside during a shift, running in response to calls for service, climbing or descending multiple flights of stairs, performing CPR, assisting with the lifting or carrying of persons, and lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
