The Executive Director of Off Campus Instructional Sites (OCIS) is a full-time, fiscal year position reporting to the Dean of Academic Support and Operations. The Executive Director provides leadership, management, planning, and advocacy for all off-campus instructional sites. This position ensures that the OCIS are in compliance with SACSCOC standards, the college, TBR, and THEC policies. The Executive Director of OCIS will collaborate with other college offices to use institutional data to develop and implement strategies to increase OCIS enrollments and dual enrollment/dual credit offerings, especially in Fayette County, Millington, and Frayser communities. Job Duties

<li>Leads OCIS strategic planning initiatives.</li>
<li>Ensures OCIS programs are consistent with the mission of Southwest and that activation, assessment, and deactivation of OCIS offerings are done in accordance with college policy.</li>
<li>Tracks and analyzes student enrollment, retention, and performance data; uses data to make informed decisions regarding academic programs and resource management.</li>
<li>Ensures adherence to SACSCOC Standard 14.3 (Comprehensive Institutional Reviews) which outlines the expectations for on-campus instruction to apply to programs offered through OCIS.</li>
<li>Ensures selection of programs to be offered at an OCIS is the purview of the appropriate academic division which is expected to provide necessary and sufficient oversight of the program to ensure the currency of the program, its courses, and resources.</li>
<li>Ensures each OCIS program results in learning outcomes appropriate to the rigor and breadth of the credential awarded. Each program offered through OCIS has procedures in place to collect and review identified student learning outcomes and to identify program improvements based on the data collected.</li>
<li>Commits to supporting implemented programs for a period sufficient to enable admitted students to complete the program (as long as financially feasible).</li>
<li>Ensures that all OCIS students have access to relevant library resources to support the courses in which they are enrolled and provides access to library support services that closely approximates that offered to on-campus students as outlined in SACSCOC standards 11.1 (Library and Learning/Information Resources) and 11.3 (Library and Learning /Information Access).</li>

Stress is believed to be the number one issue that causes college students to drop out of college. Licensed counselors provide thorough assessment and diagnosis of mental health issues, including those related to stress, and provide expert treatment and available resources. &nbsp;Counselors also provide comprehensive career decision-making services in the form of career counseling and career exploration. Academically, counselors assist students with navigating the complex landscape of higher education and provide practical and emotional support to academically struggling students. Through each of these services, students are given valuable tools to help them be successful and increase the retention and graduation rates at the college. The time frame of impact ranges from immediate (crisis intervention) to long-term (retention/graduation), depending on the nature of the services offered.&nbsp; If a problem should arise, the director of counseling would be called on to assist. If further assessment is warranted, community crisis services would be contacted for consultation.
Responsibility for Accuracy: If a Counselor did not possess job knowledge and skills to help students make informed decisions about personal, social, career, or academic areas, the student could be seriously harmed as well as the College.&nbsp; A lack of knowledge of crisis intervention techniques could in extreme instances result in the death of a student.&nbsp; Not being knowledgeable of program requirements and advising a student to register for inappropriate classes or misadvising about program/majors we offer would be errors with negative consequences. For verification purposes, we use consultation, documentation, and monthly reports to track services.
Judgement and Decisions:&nbsp;Counselors independently select the appropriate approach to address students’ academic or personal issues. Counselors must have the appropriate skill set to assess for crisis interventions and ability to make clinically appropriate recommendations for treatment. A full-time faculty is responsible for delivering instruction in various formats (on-line, in person, video-conferencing, or any combination of methods) in the discipline(s) for which she/he has been employed. Title: Facilities Support Associate (Custodian) Part-Time / Henderson Campus

Campus Location: TCAT Crump - Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Crump, Henderson-Chester Technology Center
Job Summary
This part-time position will provide custodial and light maintenance services primarily to the Henderson Campus. Clean and disinfect interior and exterior buildings, interior classrooms, halls, restrooms, waxing and stripping floors, emptying trash, cleaning windows, etc. The applicant should have the ability to adapt to changing assignments quickly and manage multiple tasks.
Minimum Qualifications
 1. High school diploma or equivalent required 2. Courteous and pleasant demeanor with coworkers and public are required 3. Willing to work a flexible and varying schedule as needed 4. A valid driver’s license for the State of Tennessee 5. Established work history, reference and criminal background check will be required 6. Successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively by listening, speaking, writing, and reading and must be able to understand and follow instructions and directions 7. Must know how to use chemicals safely and maintain a safe working environment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and general upkeep of the buildings and mechanical systems 2. Observe safety practices in handling, storing, and using all equipment, chemicals, and materials 3. Maintain ample inventory of janitorial supplies 4. Replace light bulbs when necessary 5. Keep facilities mechanical rooms clean, orderly and free from obstruction 6. Daily removal of inside/outside trash from all buildings, lawns, and parking lots 7. Clean counters, sinks, floors, tables and chairs in breakroom daily 8. Clean drinking fountains 9. Clean outside walkways and doormats and remove snow and ice from walkways when necessary 10. Vacuum classrooms / offices once per week 11. Dust mop halls daily 12. Wet mop halls weekly and/or as needed 13. All restrooms cleaned and mopped daily 14. Supply hand towels, toilet tissue and hand soap to restroom and shop areas as needed 15. Clean glass doors daily / Clean windows, as needed 16. Dust lobbies weekly 17. Buff floors, as needed 18. Supervise work study assignees 19. Performs security functions such as unlocking, locking, and checking doors and windows 20. Assists the Facilities Coordinator with maintenance measures 21. Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands / Working Conditions 
1. Able to climb ladders, stairs, bend, stoop, twist and kneel 
2. Lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 50 lbs 
3. Inside and outside work assignments 
4. Do repetitive movements and tasks. 
5. Operate a motor vehicle to travel within the college service area and in other areas as needed
