This is a full-time academic-year (9-month) term appointment reporting to the department chair of Technologies. The Cisco Networking Academy Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality, hands-on instruction in networking and information technology courses as part of the Cisco Networking Academy program. The instructor will prepare students for Cisco certifications and provide them with essential knowledge and skills in networking, cybersecurity, and related technologies. The Assistant Professor or Instructor is responsible for performing assigned duties during the day, evening, or weekend on any Southwest Tennessee Community College campus as assigned. At a minimum, the related activities include instruction, instructional counseling, academic advising, serving on various committees, participating in local, state, regional, and national professional activities, and organizations. 
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Prepares and delivers lectures to students on topics such as cisco networking and teaches departmental courses during the day (usually four or five days per week), during the evening (usually two nights per week), and occasionally on Saturdays.</li>

This is a full-time, tenure track, Faculty position in the Technologies Department. The appointee is responsible for performing assigned teaching duties during the day, evening, or weekend on any Southwest Tennessee Community College campus. The faculty member must be knowledgeable and able to instruct in the following technical subject areas: aerodynamics, meteorology, aircraft systems, safety management systems, airline industry, flight operations management, human factors, and aircraft structures. The individual must be able to conduct flight training on the simulators. The faculty member must be familiar with using a Learning Management System for conducting face-to-face and online classes. The faculty member will be responsible for the coordinating, planning, preparing, presenting, and evaluating classroom instruction and related activities, including overseeing all compliance requirements of the FAR Part 141 standards. Job Summary
TBR—The College System of Tennessee serves community colleges and technical colleges across the state. The Office of Policy &amp; Strategy works at the front lines of TBR’s efforts to develop insights about student success through data, research, and policy analysis. Through the Office of Policy &amp; Strategy’s data and research, TBR is able to turn research findings into actionable information to support postsecondary access and success. This office currently leads a multi-year effort to reimagine the community college experience at four pilot colleges. Additionally, in 2022, the Office of Policy &amp; Strategy launched a multi-year experimental project to study the impact of success coaching practices on students’ persistence and academic success. This team also researches postsecondary enrollment trends, dual enrollment, and labor market outcomes for graduates of TBR colleges. The Graduate Research Fellow will have the opportunity to participate in policy research and data analysis related to each of these projects. The Graduate Research Fellow will also collaborate with Policy &amp; Strategy team members, participate in research projects, and attend systemwide meetings. POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for coordinating all early post-secondary opportunities, recruitment activities and transition support to Nashville State. This position will work with Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) students in the New Skills Ready High Schools (Maplewood, Overton, Pearl Cohn, and Whites Creek) and other MNPS students matriculating to Nashville State.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Build and communicate clear academic pathways from MNPS into Nashville State Community College academic programs that lead to credential and degree completion. Support increasing early postsecondary opportunities from early high school grades to Nashville State. Create success plans with students and high school counselors from early high school grades to Nashville State that support student success and help students bridge the gap between the completion of high school and beginning a postsecondary degree or credential at Nashville State Community College.
Serve as the liaison between New Skills Ready high schools and Nashville State, developing strong relationships with the high schools. Plan and coordinate events, activities and meetings with MNPS faculty and administration, students, parents and Nashville State. Assist students, parents and MNPS high school advisors, principals and staff with the admissions process, including the dual enrollment grant. Facilitate good working relationships with high school faculty and administration and Nashville State faculty and staff. Serve on Nashville State and MNPS community-based organizations and New Skills Ready committees that are relevant to the Better Together partnership.

JOB SUMMARY
