POSITION SUMMARY

The Preventive Maintenance Technician (PM Tech) position assists in the repair and maintenance of the College’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other internal systems such as doors, keys and locksets. The College is seeking PM Tech’s to assist our trade supervisors in the following areas: Carpentry, Plumbing, and HVAC. These duties include but are not limited to: working on door closers, hinges and doors, installing sheetrock, changing filters, greasing pumps, cleaning coils, changing belts, greasing and changing bearings, servicing pumps &amp; motors, repairing toilets &amp; sinks, and servicing/maintaining/tracking equipment and inventory relevant to the department. Uniforms and personal protective equipment will be provided and must be worn at all times. This position reports to the Director and Executive Director of Plant Operations.

POSITION SUMMARY This position will provide directed administrative support to the various divisions within academic affairs and workforce and may at times be assigned to one division for a specified period of time to offer coverage and support as needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform duties including answering phones, responding to phone/in person/email inquiries, screening calls, and handling related issues. Provide general office management and clerical assistance with copying, printing documents, filing, maintaining records, making phone calls, and processing incoming/outgoing mail, FedEx and UPS. Financial Impact:&nbsp;The Director of Major Gifts is responsible for ensuring that all major gifts, private foundation gifts, and planned gifts given to the Foundation are executed efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with terms of the gift or grant award. Failure to do so may result in the College having to reimburse the donor or granting agency for inappropriate expenditures, the loss of the grant, an inability to apply for future grants and/or a loss of future donations to the Foundation.
Budgetary: The Director of Major Gifts does not have departmental budgetary responsibility or signing authority, but provides input to the Executive Director of the Foundation for operating expenditures. The Director of Major Gifts must understand capital project and equipment budgets and timelines to match effectively funding opportunities with college funding priorities. &nbsp;&nbsp;
Judgement and Decisions:&nbsp;The Director of Major Gift Development prioritizes cultivation opportunities both internally and externally to advance grant or private fundraising.&nbsp; Most decisions are made independently. The VP of Academic Affairs, VP of Business &amp; Finance, Executive Director of the Foundation, and the President of Pellissippi State provide guidance and make decisions pertaining to staffing and budgeting, contractual relationships, and prioritize College facilities, programs and equipment.
Nature of Contacts: The Director of Major Gift Development interacts with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally.&nbsp; Internally, the Director meets with faculty and staff members from virtually every division at the College including Campus and Academic Deans, Marketing and Communications, Human Resources, Academic Affairs, Business &amp; Finance, Economic &amp; Workforce Development, Student Affairs, the Tennessee Consortium for International Studies, Placement Office, and Institutional Effectiveness, Assessment, and Planning.&nbsp; Externally, the incumbent meets with Foundation Board members, governmental and elected officials, business and corporate leaders, economic development officials, donors, prospective donors, retirees, and alumni.
The Director seeks understanding of corporate, foundation, governmental and personal philanthropic and policy goals.&nbsp; The Director influences, persuades and solicits corporate, foundation, governmental and prospective donors to invest cash gifts or pledges and on the behalf of the College. The Director negotiates donation amounts, pledge terms, and naming &nbsp;opportunities for gifts.&nbsp; The Director provides persuasive information to the public during presentations.&nbsp; The Director must be a perceptive listener, able to discern individual, corporate and government policy and funding priorities. Job Summary
The Director TSBDC at JSCC will oversee the operations, budget, and strategy for the TSBDC in compliance with the TSBDC-JSCC Annual Contract and the TSBDC Strategic Plan. The incumbent is responsible for the delivery of TSBDC programs to individuals, businesses, and organizations throughout the TSBDC at JSCC’s territory. To effectively deliver services to a territory of this size, the director will oversee the offices and staff at the primary office in Jackson, Madison County. Overseeing the public outreach arm of JSCC, the Director supports the host institution through direct and indirect involvement in JSCC programs. The Director is required to travel throughout the service area and is responsible for establishing relationships with stakeholders in the new territory, maintaining existing partnerships in our traditional territory, ensure a positive and impactful presence from the TSBDC and JSCC in business communities throughout the territory and perform other related tasks and special projects as assigned.
Job Duties

<li>35% - Develop and deliver business-oriented training programs (seminars/workshops) to future and current business owners. Approximately 40 per year ranging from 3 hours to 6.5 hours. Includes identification of relevant business topics, drafting curricula, development of training materials and presentations, delivering training, and following up with additional information, as needed, to attendees. Provide technical assistance that includes one to one consulting and the associated research to future and current business owners on business-related topics. Examples include but are not limited to: – the disciplines of accounting, finance, marketing – operations, new venture creation, e-commerce, international trade – human relations, and general research - All technical assistance must be delivered in accordance with TSBDC and SBA guidance  – Regulatory guidance including codified processes and procedures.  – successful completion of a training program with certification, to confirm competency to perform counseling Maintain a working knowledge of, and incorporate business support programs at the local, state, and federal level to include but not limited to Chambers of Commerce, Community Development Corporations, economic development entities, SBA resources, lenders, incubators, accelerators, investor networks, contracting enhancers such as Hubzone and distressed designations, non-compete community development block grants, etc. that are applicable to the given county. Acquire and maintain the operational database skillset required to interface, modify, and query CenterIC, the TSBDC’s proprietary SQL-based storage database. The database contains client files, counseling records, training information, and related information regarding our operations. All service centers are required by our contract, to use this database. Ensure counseling, training, events, professional development and impact is documented thoroughly and accurately in CenterIC.  – Enter information into the CenterIC database as well as verify the entries of other staff  – Ensure training, counseling, professional development, and client information is maintained in accordance with TSBDC and SBA guidance. - (Essential)</li>

<li>20% - Assist in the continued evaluation, update, and execution of the organization’s Strategic Plan. Ensure organizational goals are prioritized and both effectively and efficiently delivered.  Develop and execute strategies localized for the Service Center’s regional stakeholders, which may include strategic planning at the Service Center level. Examples include: – marketing, data management, and customer management strategies have been designed and are being implemented.  Prepare monthly, quarterly, semiannual, and annual financial and performance reports per TSBDC and SBA guidance and TSBDC-JSCC contractual requirements to the TSBDC Lead Center and Associate Dean as appropriate Research and apply for grants relevant to economic and business development within the TSBDC at JSCC’s nine county region. Direct the effective and efficient operations of the TSBDC at JSCC Service Center that includes, but is not limited to, training, counseling, audits, compliance, scheduling, marketing, community outreach, partnerships, and support of business-related JSCC activities such as business plan competitions. - (Essential)</li>

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, economics, finance or other business related field required or related field from a regionally accredited institution. Experience developing and managing a budget. Experience developing a business plan. Progressively responsible business experience required.

Master’s degree in accounting, business administration, economics, finance or other business related field required or related field from a regionally accredited institution preferred. Accounting/finance experience preferred. Higher education experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of best practices in an accounting/finance department. Must be able to comprehend and interpret policies, procedures, and regulations and to communicate effectively in both oral and written form. Have the ability to manage and provide team leadership and ability to provide vision and strategic direction while being able to convey this to those that report directly to this position. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral, and written skills. Ability to build relationships, communicate effectively and work in a diverse environment. Working knowledge of accounting computer systems and Microsoft Excel.

Title: Director of Donor Relations and Programs
POSITION SUMMARY The Director of Donor Relations and Programs develops, implements, manages and assesses a comprehensive donor relations plan to support the strategic growth of foundation and improve internal and external relations for the college. This is accomplished by the Foundation’s annual fundraising plan which includes campaigns, events, donor research and cultivation, and database management. This position will also oversee scholarships and student supports as well as supervision of the Development Associate.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee the Foundation’s annual fundraising strategy that includes but is not limited to campaigns, events, donor research and cultivation, and database management. Develops, implements and leads a successful and integrated donor relations program that strategically targets all levels of giving as defined by the Foundation team. Ensures donors are acknowledged and recognized to strengthen their financial support for the college. Plans and executes stewardship efforts such as photo opportunities, events, mailings, etc. Works closely with Foundation staff to demonstrate the impact of philanthropy to donors by arranging meaningful and memorable experiences with funding recipients as appropriate. Oversees student resource deployment and other student programs, tracking outcomes and providing donor feedback (grantors and individual donors). Collaborates with other departments to successfully streamline delivering supports to students.
Oversees the management and administration of all foundation scholarships, including donor and recipient communication such as reports to donors, thank you letters, student testimonials, etc. Uses key metrics to achieve higher donor retention rates and donor satisfaction and to assess the current engagement and activity of donors to determine which efforts have the greatest business impact. Prepares reports and presentations of program data for various internal and external audiences. Develops and manages all aspects of the Nashville State Alumni Association and alumni programs, including recruiting and coordinating volunteers, planning events and securing event sponsorships. Oversees and directs the development and implementation of strategic communications in multiple mediums in a timely fashion. This includes, but is not limited to, social media sites, annual reporting, e-blasts, endowment reports, gift acknowledgements, web pages, fundraising campaign materials and press releases.
Manages any fundraising-related and celebratory events. Ensures special events are communicated to executive leadership, board members, officials and invited guests. Creates innovative programs and projects to thank and steward donors, identifying creative and effective mediums to recognize the impact of corporate and individual support. Tracks donor relations and stewardship activities in the established databases to enhance relationships and increase the likelihood of continued contributions. Responsible for the review and control of all gift acknowledgments, including receipts, thank you letters, pledge statements and donor reports. Supervises the Development Associate. Performs other duties as assigned.
