Title: Student Resource Manager
POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for assessing students’ non-academic needs and coordinating and developing holistic supports and services to meet those needs. Tracks and assesses student needs across all campuses, and partners with community organizations and the college foundation to provide supports.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provides student case management for services and referrals to both campus-based and community services, including mental health needs, health services, housing assistance, food insecurity and childcare for the College’s entire service region and campuses. Advises student support coordinator and student success advisors in creating and implementing student success plans. Identifies and develops partnerships with community agencies to build a structured system of coordinated supports for students. Develops and presents student support workshops and presentations. Provides information and workshops at student events.
Serves on the College’s Behavioral Intervention Team and assists with crisis planning and student intervention as needed. Upon request, provides information and recommendations to the Title IX Coordinator/Deputy Title IX Coordinator regarding available student resources/supports and assists Title IX officers with connecting students to resources/supports as needed. Utilizes student records systems to track students and student support service usage and success. POSITION SUMMARY The Financial Aid Counselor, Extended Campuses, provides excellent customer service and guidance to diverse groups of both traditional and non-traditional students and their families throughout the financial aid process; and supports students at our extended campuses with financial aid questions both virtually and in person. POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for creating and maintaining College admissions records for both new applicants and returning students.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Monitors daily the Course Plan of Study report and communicates outcomes to the Financial Aid office for processing. Monitors daily consolidation of records in Slate CRM. Retrieves daily list of admitted students from Slate CRM and maintains and prints admissions decision letters. Shares primary responsibility for accepting applications, processing applications, maintaining student files, making referrals and answering other questions relative to admissions and records requirements, including for academic programs with special admissions requirements. Serves as a subject matter expert with regard to college admissions and records policies and procedures and assists students and faculty and staff with regard to these policies and procedures.
Processes applications, transcripts and other admissions documents, ensuring that data entry in all relevant systems is accurate. Responds to student inquires with regard to their files and the status of their applications, transcripts and other relevant items. Notifies students of transfer credit from previous institutions and posts credits to students’ academic record. Coordinates evaluation of transfer credit with Academic Divisions. Maintains physical and electronic student records in accordance with department and College standards. Serves as a registrar for the Selective Service System by verifying students’ Selective Service registration status. Provides clerical and functional support to the Welcome Center as needed or assigned. Assists with College graduation ceremonies.

POSITION SUMMARY To manage the organization and administration of testing to execute and support the Tennessee Board of Regents’ and Nashville State’s requirements for testing, especially those supporting admissions, graduation, online learning, and make-up exams.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Hires, trains, and supervises all Testing Center staff members. Perform yearly evaluations of staff. Develops and implements appropriate procedures and guidelines for the successful operation of the Testing Center. Creates, monitors, and manages the Testing Center budget and Institutional Effectiveness plans. Maintains communication with center and site Testing Centers and ensures that materials are provided and sent to other sites in a timely manner. Creates and updates the Testing Center calendar indicating testing schedules, dates, and times. Makes sure that the campus is aware of testing schedules. Coordinates testing for all NSCC locations including dual-enrollment sites.
Monitors Testing Center website to ensure that all information is current and accurate. Makes changes in a timely manner. Ensures that the hardware and software requirements for online testing are met. Keeps up with changes in course management systems and other programs. Provides ongoing training sessions to keep staff current in job responsibilities. Collaborates and communicates with faculty and academic departments about policies and procedures for the administration of classroom exams. Maintains appropriate records (e.g. test tracking logs, program statistics, and placement scores.) KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to plan, organize, delegate, and supervise every detail for the successful operation of the Testing Center. Strong interpersonal skills. Strong written and oral communication skills required. Is articulate and uses an easily understood communication style. Has knowledge of and adheres to the mission, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the Testing Center. Ability to establish and maintain a cooperative relationship with students, faculty, and staff. Ability to evaluate situations critically, make decisions fairly, and work effectively as a team leader. Ability to give and accept supervision.
