UIW Mission


Position Summary
The Director of Campus Ministry is a ministerial position directly involved with student formation in the areas of Catholic formation, outreach, and the spiritual integration of our campus community. This position develops and implements service opportunities, Hispanic, Black, and other minoritized groups' ministry initiatives, and community events. It also provides support for the catechesis of students through UIW's RCIA and Confirmation preparation programs. The Director of Campus Ministry reports directly to the Vice President of Mission and Ministry.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
  • Fluent in reading and speaking Spanish.
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organization skills and the ability to prioritize projects and activities.
  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with others.
  • Possess enthusiasm, creativity, knowledge, and energy needed to meet the demands of the position.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the spiritual and pastoral needs of the targeted age group which they intend to serve.
  • Being reliable and dependable to meet the scheduled work hours, which will include evenings and weekends, as planned.
  • Demonstrating an intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other graphic design software (e.g. Canva, InDesign, Finale, etc.)
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
  • Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University.


Required Education
Master's Degree in Divinity, Theology, or Liturgy from an accredited Catholic university or equivalent relevant institution.


Required Work Experience
  • Being a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Roman Catholic Church.
  • Three (3) years of work experience in ministerial activities related to the faith development of young adults.
  • Two (2) years of experience in planning and organizing various young adult programs related to service, social justice, and/or evangelization.
  • One (1) year of experience leading teams or supervisory experience.


Preferred Qualifications
Fluent in writing Spanish.



Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations
  • Certification as a Campus Minister.
  • Must have a valid driver license, driving record that is insurable by UIW insurance carrier, and be at least 21 years of age, as required to drive for UIW.


Work Hours
This position will require work during non-traditional business hours and on Sundays, Holy Days (e.g. Easter, Christmas, etc.), and weekends, as well as at specific events such as service projects, evening programs, week-long Service Break Experiences, etc.

Physical Demands
Typical of office environment.
