For limited number of non-transfer courses, a Bachelor's degree in a qualifying field with two or more of the following may be considered: documentation of professional certification (national, regional or state), documentation of professional employment, documentation of teaching excellence, documentation of research and publication, documentation of relevant additional coursework beyond Bachelor's degree equivalent to 18 graduate semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU's, military, vendor training, etc.

Assists with the preparation and review of Nashville State’s financial statements. Manages accounts payable transactions. Researches and resolves complex questions/issues regarding various accounting topics for the College. Assists with the preparation and review of Nashville State’s budget statements, with day-to-day operations within the Bursar’s office, and with grant management, invoicing, and reconciliations. Ability to teach courses in video editing, field production, studio production, motion graphics, and/or screenwriting. A demo reel demonstrating excellence in field is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Collegiate level teaching experience or experience in a training environment. Master’s degree plus 18 graduate hours in video production, digital filmmaking, media arts, broadcasting, or closely related field from an accredited institution. Prefer experience in the use of relevant software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects. Prefer experience with Apple Macintosh computers.

Title: Adjunct Instructor- Computer Information Technology (Pool)

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction using integrative technologies.
Job Duties:
Teach courses via on ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced modalities as assigned. Teach evening, weekend, off-campus, dual enrollment and distance-based courses as required. Submit class syllabus or update department syllabus at least 2 weeks prior to the first day of class or within seven days of the execution of contract. Regularly check your VSCC email and your departmental mailbox. Respond to emails/messages within 48 hours except on the weekend. Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the Registrar. Complete required College trainings. Complete all required reports such as attendance, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions and administer and return surveys by the required deadlines. Advise the Department Chair at the earliest possibility if you are unable to teach a class. Attend meetings as requested by the Department Chair and/or Dean. Comply with all of the College’s and TBR’s policies and guidelines. Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a computer information technology-related discipline from an accredited institution.
-OR-
Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited institution and demonstrated competencies in computer information technology. Computer information technology-related disciplines include but are not limited to programs/majors such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Decision Science, Information Science, Information Management, Information Systems and Technology Management.&nbsp;
Demonstrated competencies can be documented through one or more&nbsp;IT-related certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Cisco CCNA and/or at least two years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Required qualifications plus IT-related industry certifications.
Collegiate level teaching experience.
Master's degree in a qualifying field from an accredited institution; OR a Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in a qualifying field from an accredited institution.
