 Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Planning and teaching classes as assigned and as outlined in the course descriptions and course syllabi. 2. The Construction Manager (CM) position is a vital position in the execution of HMS’s $300 million rolling 5-year capital plan and annual Campus Renewal program of ~$4 million through the delivery of projects. Reporting to the Senior Construction Manager and the support of the Director, the CM will oversee and control key aspects of the project during preconstruction, construction, closeout, and turnover. The CM will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the project meets the desired goals, standards, and requirements. The CM will partner with Project Managers (PM) throughout the life cycle of the project. This position is heavily weighted towards on-site construction administration and observations during construction phase activities. Work hours parallel those of construction trade partners and at times require off-hours and weekend work. This position is not eligible for hybrid or remote work. Preconstruction/Project Start - Escort consultants to area of proposed construction and review existing conditions and services. Performs pre-bid walk-thru. Assist in Resolving areas of discrepancies when necessary.</li><li>Plan and develop preventative and regular maintenance programs for the athletic fields (i.e. formulating chemical programs involving fertilizing, soil amendments, insecticides, pre emergent and post emergent).</li><li>Assist in supervising the maintenance of University roads, walkways, parking lots, and loading docks to include minor paving, patching, grading, ditching, and snow removal.</li><li>Assist certified ground maintenance workers in applying chemicals, pesticides and herbicides to trees, shrubs and turf.</li><li>Assist in supervising the maintenance of vehicular equipment to include trucks, tractors, mowers and towed or mounted equipment i.e. sprayers, spreaders, loaders, plows, discs, blades, aerators, seeders and rollers; hand and powered tools to include saws, augers, trim mowers, week cutters, pruning shears, shovels, and hoes.</li><li>Coordinate and plan seasonal planting and pruning programs.
