The College Success Advisor for the Southern Campuses will provide holistic student support services, intrusive academic advising and outreach to new students. The incumbent will guide students through the entire on-boarding, enrollment and advisement process which includes but is not limited to areas such as admissions, career counseling, financial aid, academic planning, academic advising, and class scheduling.&nbsp; The incumbent will respond to alerts for at-risk students provided by college staff and work closely with college resources including counseling, disability services, and testing as support mechanisms.&nbsp; 
This position will serve as a mentor and coach throughout the academic tenure of assigned student supporting them from enrollment to graduation (in collaboration with faculty advisors upon the student’s completion of select benchmarks). 
This position is based at the Lawrence Campus, with expected weekly travel to Clifton and Lewisburg Campuses to support student success at these three extended campuses.
Essential Functions:

<li>Assist students in the completion of on-boarding, application, and admissions to the college;</li>
<li>Assist students with career exploration and choice of academic major;</li>
<li>Identify academically at-risk students</li>
<li>Assist students in developing an Academic Plan for timely completion;</li>
<li>Assist students in accessing resources for academic, financial and/or personal support;</li>
<li>Serve as an academic advisor</li>
<li>Coach and mentor students providing support in their academic career;</li>
<li>Coordinate with college personnel to resolve personal and financial issues that are barriers to student success;</li>
<li>Maintain detailed records of student interactions and &nbsp;assures accurate tracking of individual student interventions and outcomes for at risk students.</li>

<li>Collaborate with faculty and staff on the delivery of support components;</li>
<li>Assist students/faculty advisors with completing Admissions, Financial Aid requirements and&nbsp;SAP&nbsp;Appeals;</li>
<li>Promote visibility of Student Success Coach through outreach to students and faculty;</li>
<li>Collaborate on individual student success strategies with faculty advisors;</li>
<li>Participate in specialized training.</li>
<li>Maintain currency of advising information in electronic and print publications.</li>
<li>Supports the Coordinator in assuring the development of individual academic plans and monitoring student progress toward completion.</li>
<li>Monitors curricular changes and the impact of changes on students’ completion goals.</li>
<li>Assists the Coordinator with developing and carrying out an effective data-informed retention plan for students most at risk of not completing their program of study.</li>

Clean entrances and doorways weekly or as needed. Respond to clean up calls at all campuses.

30% Clean bathroom facilities, walls, floors; replenish supplies; and clear clogged commodes.
20% Clean floors in corridors, stairwells, offices, classrooms, labs and other areas as assigned.
5% Assist supervisor with building inspections on all campuses. Clean areas that the contractor has missed overnight.
10% Collect and remove trash and other debris from buildings, including building entryways, connecting walkways between buildings, and campus grounds; clean trash containers when trash is removed.
10% Wash windows and glass; polish furniture, clean stairway railings and woodwork and perform high dusting.
5% Clean offices as necessary during office transitions or reconfigurations.
10% Aid supervisor on work order coverage and response to cleanup calls on all campuses.
5% Learn safety data sheets, proper removal of blood borne pathogens, and mold; adhere to all policies and guidelines.

Job Requirements:&nbsp;
Requirements include a high school diploma or GED as well as a proficiency in literacy as this employee must complete OSHA training pertaining to safety in the workplace, blood borne pathogens, MSDS and right to know information, and chemical safety. Must be able to drive and have a valid driver’s license.
Three years’ experience cleaning in a commercial environment preferred.
Part-time work experience is calculated at 50% credit of full-time work experience.
Complexity &amp; Creativity: Knowing how to mix chemicals, ability to lift 50 pounds and work safely on ladders. Proficiency in a second language is not required.&nbsp; Guidelines and policies are in place for work. Ability to learn new skill sets as they apply to housekeeping.

Responsibility for Accuracy: Incorrect mixing of chemicals, or wet floors left unaddressed would be a risk to the faculty, staff, and students.&nbsp; If errors are not immediately detected, they would be noticed promptly and resolved as work is verified daily.
Financial Impact: Wisely using machinery so there is no damage to equipment. This employee handles a large amount of cleaning supplies and has access to all cleaning closets and storage areas. They can directly affect waste and conservation of cleaning supplies.

Title: Recruiter/Completion Advisor, Ready to Reconnect Program (Grant-funded)
POSITION SUMMARY The Recruiter/Completion Advisor is responsible for recruiting, tracking and assisting students by providing holistic services from pre-enrollment to completion by connecting students to internal and external resources, wraparound services and high-touch advising to help students achieve persistence and success. The main emphasis of this position is to build relationships with prospective Nashville State Community College students and to assist and advise them through the enrollment process, including career advising. This is a grant-funded position through June 30, 2026.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide student-centered services and advising to prospective students regarding the college, academic and workforce course offerings, career choice, admission procedures and financial aid options. This includes assisting applicants through the application, career development, and financial aid processes. Review student progress and track student use of services to support post-secondary success. Work closely with students to identify potential roadblocks and connect students to supports and resources to help students better achieve academic progress, persistence and completion. Maintain accurate tracking data and notes for each assigned student, recommending appropriate referrals and opportunity programs.
Support equitable participation and achievement in high-quality pathways that lead to high-demand, high wage careers. Participate in recruitment events on and off campus, such as high school fairs, college fairs, campus tours, open houses and other community events. This includes attending evening and weekend events as needed. Create and conduct training sessions/workshops for students that support success both inside and outside of the classroom. Assist in planning, implementing and evaluating creative approaches to increase awareness about Nashville State to prospective student audiences that lead to increased enrollment and completion. Utilize an SIS student records system and be able to function within a computerized office environment. Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience with career and/or college counseling with a wide range of populations, including adult, first generation and non-traditional student populations
