Assists HRBP and in-house legal counsel in conducting internal investigations.</li><li>Working closely with management on associate counseling and advises management on appropriate corrective action.&nbsp; Participates in separation meetings.&nbsp; Prepares separation agreements as requested.</li><li>Assessing changes to state and federal rules and regulations regarding employment laws, recruiting, and employee relations. Administers human resources policy and procedures.&nbsp; Researches and recommends when changes are warranted.&nbsp;</li></ul>Your Experience Includes: &nbsp;<ul><li>Minimum five years employee relations experience.</li><li>Experience in higher education/academic environment including employee counseling and/or conflict resolution preferred.&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of principles and practices of human resources including internal investigations.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of state and federal laws related to Human Resources functions, plus separation, employee relations and investigative procedures.</li><li>Must be internet savvy and experienced in mining online databases to supply the most accurate information, reports and projections.</li><li>Knowledge of state and federal governmental regulatory standards related to employment law.</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Bachelor degree in Business Administration or Human Resources Management or related field required.</li><li>Master’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources Management or related field preferred.</li></ul>Licenses/Certifications:<ul><li>PHR or SHRM-CP Preferred.</li></ul><h4>Compensation:</h4><ul><li>$85,402.45 - $123,807.03</li><li>Great Benefits Package</li></ul>#LI-CM1

Senior Employee Relations Specialist

You will make an impact by:<ul><li>Accountability for success of WCU Alumni functions and building strong relationships with key groups in the WCU community; supports the goals of placement and clinical preceptors, continued education, enrollments, and fundraising. </li><li>Being the Territory Manager for Alumni groups based nationally which monitors and manages all regional activities; will require travel between territories (including Administration office) to complete alumni relations activities and initiatives.</li><li>Responsible for maintaining a portfolio of a minimum of 150 alumni, moving them through the Alumni Life- Cycle and supporting them in their educational and career goals by maintaining regular communication via direct contact, phone calls, text message, social media messages, and email blasts.</li><li>Manages all aspects of alumni events within the territories including organization of event/program logistics, site visits, vendor contracting, budget management, event/program evaluation, set-up and break down of events. <ul><li>Events include but not limited to alumni presentations and panels, networking events, reunions, speakers, campus events, and fundraising events.</li></ul></li><li>Will work closely with other Alumni Relations staff on more complex events and programs within Alumni relations such as Commencement, Alumni Awards, networking, and Online Events. </li><li>Secures sponsorships and leads fundraising efforts for the Alumni Scholarship by building relationships with community and employers while hosting campus and alumni Pop-Up Fundraising Events.</li></ul>Your experience includes:<ul><li>3-5 years of relevant experience required; Higher education experience preferred.</li><li>Knowledge of applicable databases and computer application systems to supply the most accurate information, reports, and projections, including CRM systems and Raiser’s Edge.</li><li>Understanding of Marketing &amp; Communications Philosophy with direct experience with all major social networks.</li><li>Ability to work effectively in a highly ethnic and culturally diverse student and associate community.</li><li>Ability to work as a team leader and manager.</li><li>Ability to build and manage important public relations.</li><li>Ability to make procedural decisions and judgments with skills in gathering data, compiling information, and preparing reports.</li><li>Ability to manage, budget and allocate funds.
